About Sasi's Thai
At 32-37 in Oxford, Sasi's Thai is a market counter serve built around curries and rice bowls, with a menu running to 31 dishes. Pad Thai and Thai Green Curry with Chicken sit alongside rice with pork belly and egg, and a fish curry that runs hot. Alongside the food counter, the shop stocks Asian grocery items for takeaway shopping. Orders are placed walk-in, with dine-in or takeaway service and communal seating shared among diners. A queue tends to form during rush hours, though it moves quickly, and seating can be scarce at peak lunch times when students fill the room. It opens Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays.

“Been a regular for many years and it has always been good. But recently in the last few months, the portion has been getting smaller and smaller. I understand that as a business you might want to cut on costs but this is not the way to do it. I’ve been going there less and less as the portion is getting ridiculously small for an adult human.”

“My favourite place for fast lunch in Oxford. I especially like the fish curry which has lots of taste but quite hot. Better to come a bit before noon or late afternoon to find a place to sit inside.”

“I got here at lunch time, it was busy with lots of students. But the service was quick. I chose rice with pork belly and egg. They tasted ok. For the price, I can see why this place is busy. The meal is good value and decent food. They also sell some Asian items in the restaurant. I will visit again next time”

“Value for money, quick service despite a long queue, shared seating and takeaway options. We had Pad Thai and Thai Green Curry with Chicken, very reasonably priced at £6.5 for each and huge servings. Worth the hype!”
