About Nordico Lounge

Nordico Lounge is a restaurant in Ormskirk, on Moor St, open daily from morning through the evening. Dogs are catered for with a hydration station, treats and blankets, and board games and toys give children something to do at the table. The menu starts with the Big lounge breakfast and moves on to a bacon cheese smash burger with burger sauce. A tapas menu sits alongside it, with patatas bravas and Louisiana chicken among the plates. Vegan and gluten-free menus are offered at the table, so guests with those needs can order from them directly. The drinks list includes flat whites and iced French vanilla lattes. Customer Review Summary

Friendly, welcoming service is what reviewers mention most, from a warm greeting to staff who accommodated one diner's dietary requirements and offered vegan and gluten-free menus on sitting. Food comes close behind. The bacon cheese smash burger with its burger sauce, cheesy loaded fries served hot, and big lounge breakfasts are singled out, along with an Iced French Vanilla Latte garnished with coffee beans. Patatas bravas and cheddar and sweetcorn fritters also earn praise. The criticism centers on the toilets and one dish. One reviewer describes a dimly lit toilet room and reports faeces on a dispenser in one cubicle, while another found no toilet paper and a hand dryer that did not work. Two diners left the Louisiana chicken uneaten, calling it bland with a burnt taste, and the same reviewer mentions a sticky table and paper straws that kept breaking apart. Several note that dogs are welcome, with a hydration station, treats and blankets.

Such a nice spot to chill and relax whilst in the area the atmosphere is just what you need when dining with love ones and having a catch up we only ordered a few picky bits with our coffees and the cheesy loaded fries was incredible nice and hot. “We were quite disappointed with our visit. We’ve been to several other Lounges before and have always had great experiences, so we were expecting the same here. The first issue was the toilets. The room was extremely dimly lit — I had to use the torch on my phone just to see properly. Thankfully I did, because the cubicle I initially went into had faeces all over the toilet paper dispenser, so I quickly left. The table we were seated at was also sticky. I understand this can sometimes happen depending on the cleaning products used, so it wasn’t a huge issue, but it did add to the overall impression. The main disappointment, however, was the food. I usually order from the tapas menu and chose some of my usual favourites. Unfortunately, the Louisiana chicken was very bland and had a burnt taste. I ended up leaving mine despite trying several sauces to add some flavour. My mum ordered the same dish and also left hers for the same reason. On a positive note, the patatas bravas and the cheddar & sweetcorn fritters were lovely. Lastly, my mocktail was lovely but it was difficult to drink because the paper straws kept breaking apart. The other guests I was with didn’t have this issue and also enjoyed their drinks. Overall, this visit didn’t live up to the standard we’ve experienced at other Lounges locations, which was disappointing.”

“I had a nice time at Nordico Lounge. I visited last month to grab a coffee and continue my Lounge Passport sticker collection, marking stop 29, “Lounging around the UK”. There are many good things about this Lounge for sure, the staff are friendly, it has the usual good vibes and great gluten-free selection, and it’s also pretty big with lots of comfortable seating across two floors, and is slightly cheaper than other Lounges nearby. I ordered an Iced French Vanilla Latte, and it was pretty good. I liked the added touch of garnishing the drink with coffee beans, which was pretty cute. I do feel that maintenance of the toilets could have been better, as the hand dryer was not working, and there wasn’t any toilet paper either, but I still had a nice time here and would return on future visits to the area.”
