About Afghan kebab house
Afghan Kebab House is an Afghan restaurant at 216-218 Ashton Rd in Oldham, run by an owner who works in the dining room alongside his son. The kitchen cooks Afghan dishes such as deghi kebab and dum-pukht, and the meal ends with qahwa served after the food. Qabli pulao and a special ribs kebab with rice also appear on the menu. A menu special is made for a group, so a table of friends or family can share one order. The restaurant takes walk-ins, so guests arrive and sit without a reservation.

Customer Review Summary
A run of one-star reviews pushes the other way. Two describe cost against what arrived: one says two meals came with small pieces of meat, rice and bones despite full-price orders matching the menu photos, and another says a special did not feed as many as expected and the waiter seemed uninterested in drinks. One reviewer found half the menu unavailable and the naan hard, in an empty dining room. Another calls the service cheap and the prices high. One reviewer advises checking the order before leaving the restaurant.

“We ordered Rosh dum pukhat, kebab degi and special ribs kebab with rice. We liked kebab degi most then ribs kebab.”

“Hi, I ate there with my family today, but the portion size is a bit high and it's a bit expensive. The menu didn't say how many people a €40 special serves. Besides, the portion size wasn't enough for that price. Also, the service was terrible; the waiter didn't seem to care if I got a drink. Anyway, I personally won't be going back. 🤷 You decide.”

“I order two meals. And after I recived on the house .small pieces of meat and rice and bones. They charge us full price for full meat as on the pictures but they give us something less . As we arrived at home they tricked us . Please see what they put for as as two meals. That is not trusted restaurant work on this way. Please check your order before you leave the restaurant.”

“The Qabli pulao and Deghi roast were excellent, as was the Rosh, which I unfortunately forgot to photograph. Be sure to try the Qahwa once you've finished with your meal.”
