  “My husband and I visited the newly refurbished Shimlas in Oldham on May 9th! It was honestly such a lovely experience. The decor and atmosphere is beautiful. We were served by Aseeba who was very attentive, friendly and helpful. The food was SO delicious, we had the dynamite prawns, shinwari lamb curry and mixed chicken doner on naan. Everything was cooked to perfection but the star was obviously the chicken doner, their signature dish. The mocktails were really refreshing and a great size too! We can’t wait to go back with the rest of the family!”

  “The worse butter chicken in Oldham . I couldn’t make it that bad if I tried. Chicken taste boiled no seasoning no spice not even salt. Just horrible. Waste of money and time. Packed terribly. The naga wings was nice.”

  “Had such a lovely time at Shimlas today 🤍 The food was absolutely delicious from the fish pakoras and mix grill to the tender lamb karahi full of flavour and beautiful spices. Service was amazing and the special mocktails were the perfect touch. Definitely will be coming back again, thank you for having us”

  “Had such a great experience at Shimlas in Oldham! The ambience was so good and the food was absolutely amazing. Everything tasted freshly cooked, especially the lamb karahi which was so soft and full of flavour. We also loved the mixed grill — it came out sizzling, literally so fresh, and pretty much everything was cooked to perfection. The naga donner was so good too! The mocktails were also really nice and the portion sizes were so generous. Aseeba was very lovely and accommodating throughout, making the whole experience even better. Definitely recommend and will be coming back again!”

  “Food was amazing here and service was 10/10, really quick, really on it and really helpful when trying to decide what to pick (there’s too many good options). The mocktails? Unreal. Atmosphere was perfect for a week night with your mates or date night, really enjoyed.”

  “Had a fantastic meal at Shimlas and would highly recommend! We started with poppadoms and the pickle tray, which were a great way to kick things off. For starters, we shared the Chicken Shimbali, the Dynamite tempura prawns, and the fried fish- all three were excellent and full of flavour. For mains, we went with the Tandoori Mixed Grill and the Lamb Desi Karahi, paired with a garlic naan and pilau rice. Both dishes were beautifully cooked and packed with spice. The mocktails (strawberry daiquiri and piña colada) were a lovely refreshing touch. The service was the standout, genuinely attentive and friendly from start to finish. Lovely atmosphere too. Will definitely be back!”

  “Have been going to shimlas for yeaaars and hadn’t visited since 2024 and was reminded just how good this place is. My favourite has to be their famous donners, I don’t know what they put in their sauces but it’s so addictive. Don’t even get me started on how fluffy and soft their naan is too😍 hadn’t tried their mocktails before which was a cute innovative idea and the mocktail one was delish. We also got the lamb Karahi which couldn’t fault, was also lovely. My favourite was the dynamite prawns, they were so fresh and juicy I could have about 10 of them 🙈”

  “recently visited shimlas in oldham and it did NOT disappoint! we got the dynamite prawns, butter chicken, garlic naan, the famous chicken donner, plus drinks – strawberry daiquiri and bubblegum mocktail. everything was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, and cooked perfectly. service was impeccable! the refurb makes the place feel fresh and modern too. definitely a must-visit if you’re in oldham!”

  “I LOVED THE NEW DECOR!!😍 shimlas really outdid themselves with the new vibe. And the food was delicious as always. Enjoyed the dynamite starters in particular. The mocktails were also 10/10 and so pretty. Thanks so much shimlas and thanks to Asher the service was amazing, so professional and they all go out of their way for you. They also had their own parking behind the restaurant. Will be going back soonnn.”
