About Korea House Restaurant
Korea House Restaurant is a Korean barbecue restaurant in Nottingham, at 129A High Rd. Tables come with a grill, so diners cook pork belly and beef bulgogi themselves, or the staff bring cooked food out from the kitchen. Korean BBQ set menu A gives a choice of meats for the grill. For something away from the grill, the kitchen serves Jjam Bbong, a spicy chilli noodle soup. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays. The owner also runs a second branch at 27 Villa Street in Beeston.

Customer Review Summary
Service speed is the recurring complaint. One reviewer had to ask for their food twice, and others say staff had to be prompted for attention even when the restaurant was not full. A few also find it pricey for the quantity, citing a small dish of kimchi and a small portion of kimchi fried rice. One reviewer found the chicken BBQ needed more marinade, and another wanted a more tender bossam. Several suggest prebooking on busy weekends, and one praises the take-away boxes for leftovers.

“Fantastic place, we had bbq set menu A, you get a choice of meats instead of a mixed platter, bulgogi and pork belly were our choices and were excellent, we eat at a few Korean restaurants and this is in my opinion the best and the only one that’s defeated us with the amount of food supplied. Take away boxes also available for your leftovers! Price is great for the quality and amount of food! Service from staff was excellent also can’t wait to come back again!”

“My partner and I celebrated our two year anniversary and I think we were first in at 7. Feels like an authentic local spot. Seated promptly and were brought drinks quickly. The service was prompt, polite and respectful. The food was absolutely amazing, the pork belly and beef bulgogi was cooked at the table, I tried to make it look like I knew what I was doing but luckily we were attentively looked after by our server. Great portion sizes too! I'd recommend the full shebang to anyone, it was a really lovely experience, not just a meal.”

“I was adventurous and had the octopus and a few of the party shared a hot pot. All the food was amazing, service was lovely, atmosphere was nice and lively. Value for money is pretty good. Would recommend!”

“Outstanding meal here, the quality was really good. We had the Korean BBQ in the table and it was a great experience, the food was really tasty and just the right portions for us, would highly recommend if you like Korean BBQ. I can see what some people say about the service but I think it is just a laid back place and that's fine, if we needed anything we asked and the staff there were happy to help.”

“Nice little Korean diner with a great selection of BBQ, stews, and deep-fried dishes. The Jjam Bbong spicy chilli noodle soup was incredible, rich in flavours so filling. The Korean fried chilli chicken was boneless, packed with sweet, savoury, and spicy notes and paired perfectly with the beef fried rice. The spicy pork and seasoned galbi were also super delicious, though we were so full we had to pack them for later. This was an all-round successful trip, and I would definitely visit again. It’s not fancy dining but it’s definitely great dining. Thumbs up for the good service ! 👍🏻”
