  “Ordered via uber eats. We were disappointed in general and it was very oily, mushy peas were strange and I now believe off, I now have severe food poisoning the day after. Uber eats decided refunding £2 on an order over £40 was the appropriate action.”

  “Super disappointed with the portion size of the "large" fish and chips. The smaller-than-expected portion was tasty in fairness but we 100% would have been given more if we'd gone in-store instead of ordering in. Half the family have colds so we opted for ordering instead of risking spreading our germs and this was just really disappointing. As per the photo, the fish was a decent size but the chips? Barely a small portion.”

  “The food was nice, however, I waited 25 minutes when being the only person in the shop and for 2 bags of large chips. Service needs vast improvement, if you improve the service and made it efficient, it would compete with nearby chipshops.”

  “This was a delivery, ordered 2-3 times now. The portions are big. But that’s nothing compared to the quality!! The best chips ever, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the outside. Had fish and battered sausage also really good. 5 stars all round.”

  “It's not one of those places that have large queues...but it should do! The chips are amazing always fresh. Thick traditional chips with plenty of filling unfried very well indeed with crispy light brown outer. Good choice of kebab and chicken with the traditional pies chip sausage etc making it less complicated for the staff has there not busy trying to do pizzas and other things it doesn't allow the queue to build up like you getting some fish and chip shops. I'm talking of traditional fish and chip shop the owner and staff have been fairly constant over the last 10 years that I can remember and you get a beaming smile every time you walk in. I'm not a big fan of Change however living 12 miles away from this fish and chip shop I would rather come here than anywhere closer to home and the chips taste the same as they did when I used to work nearby in B&Q in 2013!! You will not regret using the Fish King in Arnold.”

  “I asked for cod and chips but was offered haddock and chips instead, obviously because that's what was already cooked and waiting to be sold. I agreed, as was asked on the spot but the fish wasn't great and the batter was soggy. Wish I just went stuck with ordering cod and refused the haddock when offered. I usually get my kebabs from here and they are really good, so will just stick with that next time. Customer service is always great and very friendly people l.”
