  “This place is great. We went there earlier today, and when looking at the sausages they appeared to be slightly pink. We called them up and spoke to Andy, who was excellent. We drove back to the store and spoke personally with Andy, who reassured us that they temperature check every sausage that gets cooked, and that this was an issue with the butchers that supply their sausages. He assured us that we wouldn't become ill from them, as they were checked to be the correct temperature, and they were just a different cut of the meat. Andy gave us a full refund for the entire order, and cooked us a free large chips and large cod to sweeten the deal. Andy showed us their book, and showed us that it would be frozen to show to the correct people and ensure that the correct process was followed. From that story, I can't give them anything less than a 5 star, the service was incredible. Thank you Andy :)”

  “The guy cooking the fish is rude! And it takes ages nothing ready. The only good thing is large portions of chips lady serving friendly”

  “The chips were soggy and some were even raw! The battered sausage fell out of the batter and had a really thick chewy casing on it. A massive disappointment will not be using again as it was inedible and went straight in the bin”

  “Wasn’t impressed with skin left on the cod under the batter and hardly had any fish! Dog loved the skin though hence the two stars. Said hi to the guy cooking and no response just a dirty look but the guy serving was polite and what chip shop in England doesn’t offer salt and vinegar - maybe they are worried the chips would be even soggier. If you are dying of hunger then give it a go or take a trip to the next village.”

  “Randomly picked from a Google search and so glad we did. Food cooked fresh which meant a little bit of a wait but well worth it. Burgers and sausages were from the butchers and so much nicer than the usual cardboard style ones you normally get. Very happy customer.”

  “Although the food was apparently very nice, I was a little disappointed with the service I received this evening. I was waiting around 30 or so minutes to be served a large portion of chips and 2 sausages. 17 minutes waiting to be served. I appreciate the shop was busy but it only got busier as the staff took so long to serve people. As I was buying the food for someone else, i stayed, but if I was buying for myself, then I would have walked out. I also asked for a large portion of chips and only received a small portion by the looks of things. Although the member of staff apologised for the waiting time, the amount of time waiting for what I ordered wasn't really acceptable. It would have also have been nice to have been acknowledged when walking in and maybe saying something along the lines of I will be with you shortly rather than being ignored, especially for 17 minutes.”

  “Just ordered small chips and a sausage and this is the inadequate chip portion I received. Extremely disappointed with this portion and will be taking this up with the manager as I have been robbed for my money to get as little as this in return.”
