Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to Throckley Sandwich Bar for good value, with many saying it undercuts other places in the area while serving food they call fresh and delicious. Specific orders named include a chicken salad sandwich and a coronation chicken salad, with generous, filling portions, and one reviewer says the newly added Sunday lunch is brilliant. Close behind is the staff, described as friendly, chatty and fast, and several regulars say they use it daily or as their go-to for a work lunch and breakfast. Sandwiches and breakfast get repeated mentions as well. The criticism is limited but pointed. One reviewer found the sausages the worst they had eaten, the cheese bad and the meal overpriced, and another called it average after finding some sandwiches too salty, though they liked a Christmas sandwich and stayed away for a few years. One regular still picks up a Friday bait order from the counter.

“This is the best value cafe/sandwich bar in the area. Ive worked in this region for nearly 4 years and have tried most of there competition but this is our go to. The foods really good and its better priced than the others ive tried by a long way. Steve and Ashley are fast and helpful with a bit of banter if you have time to chat. I always like getting our Friday bait from here. Its tip top.”
