About House of Hyderabad

House of Hyderabad is an Indian takeaway on Shipley Ave in Newcastle Upon Tyne, serving Andhra and Telangana food for collection. The menu includes ghee dosa and podi idli, with sambar and chutney served as accompaniments to dishes. Customer Review Summary

Diners single out the Ghee podi idli as the favorite, with punugulu, ghee dosa, vada and karak chai also praised as authentic Andhra and Telangana food in generous portions. Delivery draws the complaints: one said three orders arrived without sambar or chutney, another found the sambar sour and bitter, and one got a burnt dosa, then a replacement that was a different dosa.

“Ordered on Deliveroo. This is the third time I have received the food with no sambar, chutney or any other accompaniments that are supposed to arrive for the food to be eaten with”

“I’ve been a regular online customer and the quality is dropping every time I order. Sambar for any dish is sour and bitter, it does not taste fresh. If we try to get in touch on deliveroo and try for reordering, nobody responds. Really disappointing.”

“We had Ghee podi Idli, Punugulu, Ghee dosa, Vada and karak chai yesterday after work. They serve proper authentic andhra and telangana food for a very reasonable price. All of them tasted absolutely delicious and satisfying especially Podi Idli which is my favorite. It reminded me of my college days of enjoying street food with my friends back in India. Definitely going to come back and I highly recommended to give this a try. Thank you House of Hyderabad for serving authentic food😊”

“Hi, I usually enjoy your food. Unfortunately, this time I didn’t receive the dosa I had ordered. The dosa I received looked quite burnt and didn’t taste good. I appreciate that you sent a replacement, but it was still a different dosa than the one I originally ordered and the quality wasn’t up to your usual standard. I just wanted to share this feedback because I know your food is normally much better. Thank you.”
