Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the cheap lunch meal, with char siu and rice in a massive container singled out for value and good portions. Close behind is the flavour and heat of the food, with salt and pepper chicken, king prawn omelette, crispy chicken in Cantonese sauce, king prawn in sweet and sour, and the curry all named as favourites. Several mention quick service, friendly staff and a steady queue. A few describe a dingy portacabin exterior, and one visitor from out of town found the food tasty and fresh regardless. Three reviewers were far less happy. One long-time customer found the beef and tomatoes had a funny taste and the fried rice did not seem fresh. Another described the chicken as supermarket chunks, the chips as dried cardboard, and the request for extra hot sauce answered with sliced raw green chillies. A third called the food disgusting. Even so, the lunch char siu and rice in its oversized container is what returning diners keep coming back to.

“Not from this area, from Halifax but was just staying here for the wknd. Omg, what a gorgeous Chinese, so tasty & fresh. The outside looks bit dingy but don't let that put you off. As the saying goes 'don't judge a book by it's cover'......”
