About Ganley's Irish Bar Morden
Ganley's Irish Bar Morden is a traditional Irish pub at 43-47 London Rd in Morden, directly opposite Morden tube station. The kitchen serves Irish pub food, including bacon and cabbage, and a carvery brings large portions with plenty of vegetables alongside chicken, turkey, gammon and lamb. Guinness is on draught, with Heineken and Kronenbourg also on tap, and Baileys coffee is available for those who want a warm drink. Football, rugby and other sporting events play on the screens, and live music adds to the pub's calendar. The old-fashioned interior gives the pub its own character. Dogs are welcome, so regulars can bring their pets along.

Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is the main draw, with reviewers praising oversized portions, vegetables cooked well, a flavourful gravy, and choices like roast lamb, turkey and gammon, or half a roast chicken. Close behind are the burgers, the spice bag, the chicken spice bowl with its chips, and a bacon and cabbage plate called massive. A baileys coffee and a chocolate fudge cake with custard also earn praise. Bar and floor staff are repeatedly called friendly, and the mood is described as lively and sometimes rowdy, with live music and sport on the screens. The complaints are specific. One reviewer is sure the roast potatoes are frozen, another would prefer sliced chicken to a half bird, and one diner was put off when a waiter banged down an extra plate for the cake with attitude. A group also found the Heineken and Kronenbourg unpleasant and wondered if the lines needed cleaning, advising others to stick to bottles or the Guinness.

“Food is absolutely quality never had a bad meal.... Easily best pub food in the area. Not even close. Owner is a great bloke, staff are all very friendly. We all had the chicken spice bowl today and all three of us loved it... Some of the best chips I've ever had The bacon and cabbage is a massive meal and the roasts on Sunday are banging. A pint and a quality meal for about £17... Come once and you'll come again!!”

“⭐⭐⭐⭐ **Ganleys Irish Pub – Highly Recommended\!** I honestly couldn’t recommend Ganleys enough\! The food is always outstanding, and I’d recommend any of the burgers\. The portions are absolutely massive, so it’s definitely worth the money\! The staff are always lovely, even when they’re rushed off their feet. I often pop in for a drink on a Friday or Saturday night, and it’s always a great place to spend an evening. They also show most football matches, rugby and other sporting events, so it’s a brilliant spot for watching the sport with a few drinks 🍻⚽️🏉 I’ve spent my boyfriend’s last two birthdays here for drinks, and a special mention has to go to Nathan, who went above and beyond to help me organise everything\. Such a lovely man who really made the effort to help! It’s also kid friendly, although children need to leave around 8–8:30pm, so it’s worth keeping that in mind. The atmosphere is always great. It can get a little loud and rowdy at times, but in the best possible way! 😂 The live music on Saturdays is brilliant, too. If you prefer somewhere a bit quieter, I’d recommend sitting towards the front of the pub rather than the back. The toilets are always clean, which is another big plus! Great food, generous portions, lovely staff, live music, sport on the screens and a brilliant atmosphere. What more could you ask for? Ganleys is definitely one of my go to places, and I couldn’t recommend it enough! ❤️🍔🍻”

“The most incredible hidden gem with impeccable Roast Dinners! We will not waste our time in going elsewhere for a sub standard Roast Dinner, We make the drive from Gatwick for our monthly treat! 😂 The gentleman on the door (sorry I dont have your name) is exceptional at his job, welcomes you warmly is very attentive and nothing feels to much trouble, we just feel at home here. Thank you for the amazing Sunday dinners where I dont have to wash the dishes! Worth every penny! Would love to know what you cook your veg in! 😋”

“Lovely Sunday roast dinner, lots of vegetables too all cooked to perfection, I choose roast chicken, but would prefer slices of chicken rather than a half a chicken. All in all a great Sunday roast - not sure if the roast potatoes are frozen ( would be better if they are cooked from scratch) I’ll be back! To try another roast Update: been back here again for a lovely Sunday roast which again was delicious, I had turkey and gammon. The roast potatoes are definitely frozen! All the veggies are cooked to perfection. The bar staff are outstanding a proper pub 10/10 to you all Update: back again to try out the lunch time menu. I chose the chicken curry absolutely delicious, my friends chose beef salad & panini”
