Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often come for the events the pub hosts, especially the dog gatherings, including a dog party with a ball pit, ice lollies, games and prizes, and a spaniel meet-up. A cider and oyster tasting with live music and a wine tasting also draw praise, with generous nibbles and extras mentioned. Food comes close behind. Diners call the burger juicy and not fatty, enjoy the sausage and mash, and describe the fish and chips and shepherds pie as fresh. Staff are repeatedly called friendly and welcoming, and a few like eating out front in summer. The main criticism comes from one brunch visitor, who found the bacon and eggs on a muffin expensive and the English breakfast sparse, with one sausage, two small hashbrowns and a small pot of beans, and who noted street noise by the window. Another reviewer says a table of 14 was looked after smoothly even during the chaos of Wimbledon Fortnight.

“We had a little post wedding lunch at the fire stables in Wimbledon that my son had booked. Although we are very local we've never even given it a thought until this event . I must say the staff were all very nice and friendly nothing was too much trouble. The food was very tasty,ok a few of us went basic with the burger but what a burger. It was Juicy not fatty and probably the tastiest burger I've had so a big 👍 on that one for sure . Most of the other guests had the sausage and mash. again basic but no complaints as that was also very tasty (sampling my wifes sausage 🤔) I agreed . All in all a very pleasant experience at the fire stables Wimbledon. I definitely recommend this place 👍”

“Wonderful, stylish modern pub in the heart of Wimbledon Village. Great atmosphere and the GM, Anita, is incredibly welcoming and friendly. She and Freya hosted a fantastic spaniel meet-up, my dog had the absolute best time. Such a dog-friendly gem, we can’t wait for the next event!”

“This little gem of a place is amazing. Food is outstanding, service was amazing. Attentive, friendly staff. Has a lovely atmosphere. Apparently does a great Sunday roast. Which we’ll be back to try. Special mention to Gui. Thank you”

“Shout out to the Fire Stables team for their dog party tonight. What a great idea in our beloved, dog-mad Wimbledon Village - to host a pups' party with ball pit, ice lollies, games, prizes and best of all, other dogs to play with. They put a lot of effort into it, it's terrific. And then we stayed and had a great meal too. Love this place!”
