About Central Park
Central Park is a family restaurant in Middlesbrough, at 337 Linthorpe Rd. The menu pairs British pub fare with more modern continental dishes, and parmo appears in more than one form, including an original parmo and a bbq pulled pork parmo. Ribs are also on the menu. A private dining room gives groups a space of their own. Parties of more than 6 guests book by calling the restaurant directly.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the parmo, with the bbq pulled pork version and the original both described as really good, and the ribs also get a mention alongside good portions. Reviewers also single out the homemade coleslaw and the cocktails. Service draws steady praise as friendly and quick, with one party getting food within half an hour on a busy Saturday and another having their phone charged by staff. The main caveat is noise. Several say the restaurant is loud, one had to shout to talk during a birthday visit, and another found the music too loud for conversation on a quiet Wednesday evening. Parking is called a nightmare by one reviewer, and one found only a single gents toilet. The one negative review calls the food very average, with greasy parmos and tough meat on a kebab. Another reviewer was happy to have leftovers packed up to take home.

“Foods pretty good with lots of choice to be had. It’s slightly noisy with the music turned up loud. We went on a Wednesday evening and although the restaurant wasn’t that busy the music made conversation difficult.”

“Waiters and waitresses are super friendly, i was starving and my phone also died, so i just went into that for food and they also helped me charge my phone, life savers!! Tried the parmo, really good👍”

“My first time visiting this restaurant, and I can say I WILL be returning again shortly. Despite being a very busy Saturday our food was out within 30 mins of ordering. Our drinks arrived quickly. And the staff where great and happy to help. I had the bbq pulled pork pork parmo. Well worth it. I ended up taking leftovers home. Which they were happy to pack up for me. Well worth a visit”

“I travelled from York to meet family at Central Park Restaurant, and it’s somewhere we come back to regularly because it never disappoints. The atmosphere is always welcoming and the food is consistently excellent. The service is fantastic every time we visit, and on this occasion Caesar in particular was brilliant, so friendly, attentive and made sure everything was perfect for us. It’s always a lovely experience when we dine here. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting Middlesbrough. Ann, David, Paul & Lynn.”
