Customer Review Summary
Curry draws the warmest praise, described as not sweet, full of meat and onions, and like the old fashioned curry from a reviewer's home town, though another found the chicken curry plain and boring. Close behind are the chicken and sweetcorn soup, crispy spring rolls packed with meat and vegetables, and a gravy one regular calls superb, ordered with house special fried rice and prawn egg foo young. Staff and delivery drivers are repeatedly called friendly, polite and pleasant. The complaints carry real weight, though. Egg fried rice is described as dry, stuck together, just oil, or short on soy sauce, and one house special version arrived cold and rock hard with a single prawn. Crispy shredded beef came soggy and drowned in liquid, prawn toast was flat and burnt, and a satay chow mein had no peanut flavour. One reviewer reports finding a long hair in the crispy seaweed. Another was sent house special instead of the pak po chicken they ordered, and a busy day left one customer without prawn crackers.

“Best Chinese I have had for a long time Started with the chicken and sweetcorn soup which was very tasty and not sweet like a lot of others make it. Followed by crispy spring rolls which was jam packed with meat and vegetables. Curry was a special that was again not sweet but just how I like it and full of meat and onions even the prawn toast was great, it was a little over done but still full of flavour. The only little let down was no prawn crackers left as they said it was a very busy day and ran out. My dogs won’t be pleased as they love them, never mined boys better luck next time out of ten I would give this nine and a half so thumbs up from me”

“Photo taken after searching for meat , struggled to enjoy it and three the majority of the dish away So had a couple of house specials from here last night ...so I was always told that if you can't be nice don't say anything at all , so ill start with the very few positives ... I called up as was having problems with the website and the lady on the phone was polite and explained to me forget the website , it will be cheaper to order direct from us ( bearing in mind this was their own website and not a third party such as foodhub etc) and delivery would be quicker... so I found this a little bit strange but thought why not . The delivery arrived within half an hour and the lady who delivered was lovely... The spring rolls and spare ribs were nice, exactly what you would expect. Now for the negatives .... The prawn toast looked like it had been stamped on, it was flat as a pancake and also it was burnt, so much so it took a bit to snap it on half as it was easier to do that than bite into it, but yet even though it shouldnt have been dripping in grease it was so surely this would have made it soggy but no it literally was like burnt toast. The house special egg( and I use the term loosely with egg ) fried rice was lucky to have even seen a wok or even a splash of soy sauce , it tasted like it had come straight out of the fridge as it was rock hard and cold ...with one prawn and three slices of meat which I couldn't for the life of me tell which meat it was as it all looked and tasted the same apart from the prawn obviously, The chow mein fared slightly better in the respect of the noodles were soft and that's where that ends ..again same issue with the meat or lack thereof, I asked for mine done in satay as that was one of the only two options when it came to chow mein in sauce...now I'm pretty sure satay main ingredient is peanut or peanut flavouring with a hint of spice and a slightly creamy sauce, none of which was present, put it this way I would be quite happy to eat the dish I recieved next to somebody with a peanut allergy... I only came to this chinese as my regular and also favourite chinese ( lucky cat up in marton ) had closed for a weeks holiday , needless to say next time they take a holiday i will await their return rather than going elsewhere for my fix and being sorely disappointed... After writing this review I'm seriously thinking the £5 discount i got on a £35 order which i didn't ask for and would have quite happily paid ( in case ppl think I begrudge the money i gave the delivery driver the £5 as a tip ) , was this for a compromise on taste, quality and lack of ingredients..? My recommendation is seriously try lucky cat , the prices are the same and the food quality is 10 times better , wok inn used to be a lovely Chinese, literally don't know what's happened since I last went there a year ago.. My other recommendation to any takeaway is employ their delivery driver as she's lovely , Guys vote with your feet and also read other customers as well perhaps they will up their game but at present t it seems unlikely.”

“I’ve tried a lot of takeaways, but this one is something special. The staff are unbelievably friendly and make you feel welcome every time — you can tell they genuinely care. The food is amazing: fresh, perfectly cooked, and packed with flavour. Every dish I’ve tried, from the sweet and sour chicken to the chow mein, has been spot on. Portions are generous, everything arrives hot, and the little details, like making sure you have sauces or extras, really show their care. Hands down, this is one of the best takeaways I’ve ever been to — I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Absolutely disgusting, the batter all flour, chicken not cooked properly, chips horrible and the egg fried rice just oil. Thrown away waste of money”
