Customer Review Summary

Breakfast draws the most praise, with one reviewer calling the Full English one of the best they have had and others describing breakfast as fresh, hot and fairly priced. Close behind are the coffee, which a self-described coffee snob called excellent, and a mint aero hot chocolate that a family at a children's Halloween event enjoyed. Reviewers also name a BLT with a massive pot of tea and homemade food that one family calls a firm favourite. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and one touring band praised the service from the three women running it. Complaints are specific. One reviewer reports rubbery sausages, overcooked bacon and charred brioche, and describes staff using their sleeves to handle the hot plate. Another found the room very cold with the door open, the music too loud, and a sandwich arriving on white instead of the brown bread ordered. One visitor missed a non-dairy milk option. The most detailed negative also closes with that reviewer's frustration at being doubted over what they saw in the kitchen.

“Came for a morning coffee, and then went for a breakfast also after seeing the good options. Breakfast was fresh, hot, and the way to start a day off! Coffee was excellent too, and i’m a bit of a coffee snob at times! Good atmosphere inside , locals getting together and starting their day, or catching up with friends and family over coffee and food. Excellent range of options here for any time of the day including wine, beer or anything you might want and stays open late evening too. Great owners and you can see that they want to take care of their patrons. Reccomend you to try yourself :)”

“Lovely comfortable atmosphere. Had to find a place to kill some time and had a nice BLT and massive pot of tea. Just the ticket.”
  • Lucie Brione
“The food was nice, really enjoyed my dish and so did my partner with her sandwich, although there was no brown bread option. It was very cold, we had to keep our coats on. The door was wide open and only 10 Deg outside. The music was too loud for my liking and I suspect also for the staff as I had to repeat each item when ordering. The service was good and friendly. Edit: thanks for your reply. We ordered the sandwich on brown bread but it came on white, so we assumed there was no brown bread. Good to hear there is a good selection. We didn't feel any heat, not sure the heaters were on, but we will ask next time as well as the music's volume (I did like the music btw)”

“Just went in for a coffee. Seems like a good coffee shop and also serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. Tapas is also served after 4pm. Lacking 1 star as there was no non dairy milk. Looking forward to trying their food.”
  • Keith Trigwell
“We are a touring band and we eat in cafe’s and restaurants all the time. This was fantastic. Proper food. The place is run by three gorgeous ladies and the service is exceptional. There’s absolutely no criticism to be found. On top of that it’s immaculate, friendly and positive. Best we’ve had yet. So good in fact I’m writing this while I’m eating my breakfast with my friends, who are also loving it. And we all had different things so I can bet the whole menu is like this. Better still the pricing is so reasonable. This place should be visited and enjoyed by locals. I wish I had a place like this near my home. 11/10”
