About County Grills Restaurant
County Grills Restaurant serves British cafe-style breakfasts and mixed grills in Manchester, with Greek specials appearing on the menu from time to time. The Full English arrives with fried eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans and toast, and a veggie breakfast covers the same daytime slot, with portions on the large side. Tea comes in mugs, and the team circles back to offer top-ups. This is a long-established cafe with families who have returned over many years, and high chairs keep it workable for those with young children. Food is ordered at the table and brought out, and no booking is needed, so walk-ins are the norm. A step-free entrance makes the room reachable for visitors with mobility needs, while sheltered tables outside suit anyone who prefers to eat in the open air. It opens Tuesday to Saturday during the day, closing Sundays and Mondays, and orders can be packed up to eat off site.

Customer Review Summary
The full English breakfast is the most frequently named order, with runny fried eggs, sausage, bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans and toast, served with a mug of tea or a cappuccino. One reviewer also praises a veggie breakfast. Close behind is a mixed grill that one diner calls well portioned and tasty. Others describe big portions of British cafe food with the occasional Greek special, cooked where customers can watch. Food is reported arriving within minutes and hot, and staff are repeatedly called friendly and cheerful. Complaints are few but specific. One reviewer says the toilet is down steep steps, impossible for disabled customers. Another liked the food but felt unwelcomed and disrespected on two visits. A third, otherwise positive, says homeless people sleeping in sleeping bags near the entrance have become a growing problem. Several mention outdoor tables under shelter. One pair who sat outside stayed about two hours without any rush, with the waitress repeatedly stopping by to offer more tea.

“Great café, with great service and food does exactly what you want! Two of us went on a sunny Friday morning at 9am, went in a greated with a smile and "what can I get you?" We both ordered the full English breakfast and a tea each. We decided to sit outside and we had the food brought to us in about 7mins with or MUGs if tea. Breakfast was good, 2 fried eggs (runny), sausage, 2 bacon, mushrooms, tomato, beans and 3 slices of toast. That with the brew was about £11 bargain. A few visits from the lovely waitress asking if we wanted more tea etc (which we did). No pressure or rush to get us out, we were there for a good 2 hours.”

“I wanted some hot food because i got tired of cold sandwiches and cans of beans. I went twice , i liked the food, but i felt unwelcomed and not respected. And me feeling unwelcomed I decided not to go anymore, we dont need your respect!”

“I've been eating at County Grills since it opened when I was 5 yrs old! I'm 50 this year! Matther, the owner is very passionate about serving his customers good food. That's exactly what you get at County Grill, good food and excellent service and value for money. The food is British cafe style with the occasional Greek special (all delicious), the portions are BIG. The atmosphere is busy, happy and friendly. There are a lot of cafes, gastry pubs etc in Urmston but I challenge anyone to find a place as welcoming and genuine with food as fresh that you can WATCH being cooked as you can at the County Grill. It's like that hotel in Dubai, if I could give it 7 stars, I would!”
