About The Rupert Brooke
Wetherspoon's The Rupert Brooke is a pub in Rugby at 8-10 Castle St, set in a large building with plenty of seating and a long bar in light wood. Drinkers can order through the app from their table or at the counter. Food is served all day, with breakfast on the menu and fish and chips with curry among the dishes. A private area gives big parties a space of their own. The bar carries craft beers, and TV screens are fitted inside.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the low prices on food and drinks, with breakfast and a pint the usual draws, and several call the value good or the food cheap and delicious. Fish and chips with curry gets a specific mention, and one reviewer praises the craft beers and ordering through the app instead of at the counter. Staff come across as friendly and efficient, and one waitress is credited with handling a large party's many orders. Diners describe a lively, buzzing atmosphere in a big building with plenty of seating, outdoor tables and space for large groups. One long-time regular notes the refurbished toilets are now cleaner. The main caveats are mixed. One reviewer found the food batch cooked and kept warm, accepting that for the price, and another said the atmosphere wasn't to their taste. The sharpest complaint comes from a group who say a manager yelled at them and demanded payment for food the kitchen had sent out in error, even though they offered to hand it back.

“Nice food but not the greatest. Obviously batch cooked and kept warm. Very cheap though, so you get what you pay for and a cheap breakfast is what I wanted.”

“Love Wetherspoons. Now to such an extent that when planning a bike tour I will actually choose towns based on whether they’ve got a Wetherspoons or not! The food’s delicious AND cheap, usually quick to arrive. I love how you can just sit down and order on the app - no faff, no issues with having order at the counter then find a seat (inconvenient if you’re on your own). Not only that they’ve got good craft beers, and they’re often pretty epic buildings. If they had just some of these things it would be good but they always seem to be the best of all worlds!”

“Our waitress, I believe her name was Amelia? She was very kind and respectful to us, and did a smart job of delivering us our food, especially since we had quite a large party of people, with lots of orders to come. Great service, very pleased with Amelia! She seemed bubbly and like she really enjoys her job. Always up for a chat!”

“As usual wetherspoons pubs but it's quiet big and large parking area. Suitable for big parties and private area, outside seating.”
