  “Samosa not defrosted properly so frozen in the middle. Chicken in the main course was a mixture of good pieces and rubbery pieces. Service was not at all friendly or welcoming.”

  “Went on 12th of june evening and staff was welcoming, warm and polite. Food was excellent and service was 5 star. Will be going regular from now on”

  “Although the taste of the food was good, the portion was small considering the price. You have to pay extra for rice which again will comes in a small portion!!! The staff was also not friendly at all.”

  “We went group of four and received great service alongside excellent food. The portions are generous; we ordered the Sherpa chicken, chilli chips, and two garlic naans, but the chicken and a single naan would have been plenty. The extra naan and chilli chips were completely unnecessary given the large serving sizes. It is highly recommended, but order conservatively.”

  “It was group of 7 before going to the theatre. Lovely service, they really looked after us. Loads of nice curries to choose from, specialities I have not seen before. Reasonable priced wine too.”

  “First Indian in a few years, staff are very accommodating, restaurant is kept clean and tidy. Food is very good. Keep going back 😁 Everytime i try something different, it's all good!”

  “Hands down they make the best momos, its so juicy and flavourful I had to order twice. The rest of the food was equally tasty. They made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. Checked up on us every now and then. Amazing service and the food was 10/10, will definitely come again.”

  “Lovely Indian restaurant right on Ashby Road. We came here as a large group (12) and were very impressed with the speed of the service considering so much was ordered all at once. Being a large group we tasted a good cross section of the menu and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their curries. I personally went for the chicken bhuna and it was lovely tangy tomato with a warming chilli heat throughout. The value for money was incredible and they offer 10% student discount which we were very grateful for, especially given the current economy. The only minor complaint was that the naan bread was rather thin and crispy rather than the more soft, bread-like texture one would expect. Overall the food was highly flavourful and we would certainly return.”

  “Usually order food from here for delivery but decided to have food in the restaurant, glad I did, it was lovely. Food was perfect as always. Certainly my favorite Indian in the area. Naan bread is the best naan bread, I will always recommend this place over any others in and around Loughborough.”

  “Mount Gurkha is a Nepalese and Indian Restaurant in Loughborough. There seems to be no parking on site. However we found parking close by. We had five people in our group and ordered the Sunday Evening Special Set Meal. They advertise it as a five course meal but I doubt it? The taste is nice and the portions are sizes are good.”
