  “Restaurant 50 is our new favourite restaurant in Looe! We visited recently with our Canadian friends and wanted to take them somewhere special - and Restaurant 50 certainly delivered. Great food, great atmosphere! Special mention to Colleen who looked after us - very attentive and helpful - a real credit to the business. The whole experience was fabulous, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to take our friends. We hope to return again soon!”

  “We have visited many of the great restaurants in Looe but in our opinion 50 is by far the best. Not only for the food which is absolutely delicious, but also for the ambience and genuine friendly welcome. We consider the restaurant to be perfect for couples and small groups. It feels special to celebrate occasions. I was celebrating my birthday and had a wonderful evening We found staff to be friendly and attentive without being pushy. We would definitely recommend this restaurant but book in advance as it is popular.”

  “We had our first meal at 50 on the 30/5/26. They had to cancel due to the chef being taken to hospital. They re- booked us the following day. Recce had call and informed us and his communication was brilliant. We had a glass of red wine as an apology for the cancellation, the wine was amazing. We had the fillet steak and the chicken main course and I can honestly say the steak was as good as it gets and the chicken too. The staff themselves where brilliant and attentive, brilliant members of staff a real credit to this restaurant. It's the best restaurant in the area and I highly recommend, will be returning very shortly.”

  “Lovely restaurant, just not really wow food. Mackerel was nice but the pork belly looked displeasing on the plate and it was very hard to cut. Had to ask for a steak knife which I was surprised they didn't offer to begin with. Urge you to check the bill as they put large wines on, even though I only had small and they added an extra beer. They corrected once I pointed it out but I saw a lot of other patrons who didnt check their bill...”

  “My friend and me went for lunch today and the food was delicious! There’s a good selection of drinks and we shared a lemon posset for dessert. We both had the sea bass nicoise, the sea bass was cooked to perfection and the service by Louise was great she was friendly and attentive. We will definitely visit again when we are down.”

  “It was my first time to Fifty and I will absolutely be coming again! I booked in advance but it was really quiet (it was a term-time Monday!) so we had a choice of tables and earlier than the booking. I have coeliac disease and I'd found Fifty on TripAdvisor's suggestions for gluten free friendly restaurants in Looe. Well it didn't disappoint. The owner has dietary requirements themselves so totally understands how to keep food safe for people like me. We chose from the lunch menu but we could have chosen from the evening menu if we'd wanted to. They have fresh, local fish, and local, seasonal produce, and at a reasonable price. I had a crab sandwich on gluten free bread followed by the Chef's chocolate special dessert which was absolutely heavenly! Loved everything about it. I'd definitely go back!”

  “Absolutely fabulous, the mussels were plump and plentiful and the steak was so soft you could cut it with a spoon! Both had so much flavour and wonderfully presented. We also had the scallops but missed the pic, wonderfully cooked and wonder source.”

  “A lovely restaurant with a warm, relaxed atmosphere and cheerful staff who made us feel very welcome. The menu is quite limited, aiming for a fine dining experience, and while the quality is generally high, it does come at a fairly steep price. Most of our group really enjoyed their meals. I had the trio of pork and beef to start—personally, I found the beef a bit overpowering and the pork slightly dry. The desserts, however, were outstanding and easily the highlight of the meal. I’d definitely recommend dining here, but be sure to book in advance and be prepared for the higher-end pricing.”
