About Tapenades
Dinner is the whole business at Tapenades, a restaurant on Dean Street in Liskeard that opens in the evenings and asks that tables be reserved in advance. Meals run to a three-course format, and the kitchen will adjust it on request, serving a starter portion as a main course or a main as a starter. Local fish shapes much of the menu, with scallops, monkfish, sea bass and crab appearing alongside lamb and a duck main. Desserts stay in familiar territory, from lemon tart to apple crumble, and local wines sit on the list beside the food. Dishes arrive plated with care taken over presentation. Reservations required, and the team takes bookings for larger parties and celebration meals including birthdays and anniversaries, so groups can plan an evening around a table. The restaurant also works as a caterer. It opens Monday through Sunday with Tuesdays closed.

Customer Review Summary
Food described as cooked to perfection anchors nearly every account, with the local fish drawing the most attention: scallops, monkfish and sea bass come up by name, alongside lamb, duck and a starter of crab. Desserts land in the same register, with a lemon tart and an apple crumble both singled out, and one visitor on a fourth Cornish holiday in three years praises the local wines as well. Delivery to holiday lodges and cottages during lockdown generated a run of enthusiastic accounts, with food arriving hot, on time and with its presentation intact in serving pots; several reviewers ordered repeatedly across a single holiday, noting hearty portions and a wide menu. One suggests warming the oven and plates in advance and staggering the courses, and another calls booking essential. The owners and staff are repeatedly described as friendly and helpful, and one group of eighteen booked for a birthday found the evening ran smoothly enough that they rebooked for an anniversary.

“Fantastic! I cannot recommend the food and service enough! We ordered from the online menu and the food was delivered at an agreed time to our holiday lodge. The food was hot upon arrival and they even managed to maintain the presentation in the serving pots which we could put straight on our plates which we had kept warm in the oven. The food was absolutely delicious, home cooked with lovely flavours. This was by far the best meal we have had all holiday - fine dining and delivered to your doorstep. I would thoroughly recommend!”

“Not bad! The takeaway meal today wasn’t bad. The takeaway meal today wasn’t good either. The takeaway meal today was excellent! For our lockdown wedding anniversary meal, she started with bread variety and I with crab. She had duck and I lamb. She had lemon tart and I apple crumble. Common sense. Get the oven warm in advance. Heat your plates. Put the following courses in to keep warm while you enjoy the starter experience. Want a change from Chinese and Indian? Look no further. Thank you Tapenades 😃”
