Customer Review Summary
Affordable lunch sets draw the most praise, with diners describing a good selection, quick service and food cooked fresh and fast. Reviewers name the spring rolls with chili sauce, stir fried pork with basil and chili, Pad Thai, green curry with coconut rice and banana fritters. One praises the duck as takeaway and another the Thai milk tea, while a third highlights a Thai lemon tea made with a real tea base. A couple of reviewers call the restaurant authentic, one adds family run, and two suggest reserving because evenings fill up. Service is the recurring complaint. Two reviewers describe rude staff, one recounting sarcastic remarks and a long rant in response to basic questions about dishes, and the other reporting that they felt a staff member was racist when answering queries. Others mention sticky tables and long Uber Eats waits. One takeaway customer was refused a request to pack rice separately from a curry, saying the sauce had turned the rice soggy on a previous order.

“Disappointed with the inflexibility over a simple, reasonable request 😞 I ordered a takeaway curry and politely asked if the rice could be packed separately – last time the sauce soaked into the rice and it became soggy and ruined the meal. I even offered to pay extra for an additional container if needed. Unfortunately, the staff were unwilling to help. They stated the kitchen would not agree to it, and claimed it would cost much more to charge for rice separately since it was a lunch menu item. I explained I planned to eat this for dinner and would have happily accepted smaller portions or 2 rice portions in one smaller container, but was still refused. This is very poor service. Putting rice and curry in the same container inevitably makes the rice mushy and ruins the quality of the food, especially when eating later. It would be so simple to provide a small extra pot or adapt the packing. I love the food but this lack of common sense and customer care is really not acceptable.”

“The service was genuinely appalling and left us more frustrated than anything else. We came in hungry and simply asked basic questions about whether dishes —nothing unusual—but instead of getting a straight answer, we were met with irritation and a long, unnecessary rant. It felt confrontational right from the start. Things didn’t improve after ordering. When the food and drinks arrived, there were sarcastic remarks , which came across as mocking and completely unprofessional. The staff member was loud, rude, and seemed more interested in arguing than actually helping customers. There were also repeated comments comparing their food to other cuisines in a way that felt defensive and dismissive, as if we had questioned something we hadn’t. It created a tense and uncomfortable atmosphere throughout the meal. For a place in the hospitality industry, the lack of basic courtesy and respect was shocking. While the portions were decent and the food tasted okay, it didn’t make up for the poor service and the unpleasant experience overall.”

“Good authentic family run Thai restaurant. For two people with appetisers and two mains plus one beer was £45. Good value! I would make a reservation as it was packed by 7 pm on a Sunday.”

“The food options are good and very reasonably priced. However, the service could be improved. The staff member who took our order came across as quite rude and not very professional. Felt they are bit racist (staff who took our order) in answering our queris. Overall, the food is enjoyable, but the customer service experience needs attention.. “Better listening to customer requests would improve the experience, rather than imposing personal preferences.””
