Customer Review Summary

Most reviewers come away talking about the river view, with window tables over the Thames and Putney Bridge singled out repeatedly. On the plate, the massive lamb shank panang curry on the bone is called tender and flavourful, with Thai dumplings and salt and pepper squid close behind as starters. Duck spring rolls, pad see ew and coconut ice cream with sticky rice also get praise. Many describe friendly, quick staff, and a few say the First Table discount made the meal good value. Drinks are called expensive, and one diner notes the added service charge. Service draws the sharpest complaints. One birthday party waited for ice and ended up fetching it from the bar, and another diner found staff slow to check the table and bring drinks after a muddled reservation call. One reviewer describes sweet and sour beef as hard as a rock and the toilets as dirty, with the door partly blocked by a bin. A few suggest booking ahead for weekends. One diner notes the chef removed cabbage from the pad see ew on request.

“The service was appalling, honestly I was my best friend birthday, and we had to get to get tap water, then I asked for ice ,I waited 5 minutes then I got myself to get from the bar. The waiter was so slow at everything We basically almost served ourselves No welcome drink or even the stuff saying happy birthday I won't not recommended this place the service is appalling, slowly amd disorganised. Especially on someone birthday”

“Probably the worst food we’ve ever had. I ordered some sweet and sour beef. It was hard as a rock and you could tell it hadn’t been defrosted properly. My husband had a mushroom soup that had a random tomato that had clearly slipped from my dish while carrying. Venue is nice with lovely views but outrageous toilets. Dirty, door semi blocked by the trashcan… 0/10”

“We went mid week so it was quite quiet. Chang beer quite expensive at nearly £6 per bottle. We had dumplings and buuterflied prawns to start. I personally thought prawns were a bit dry but dumplings were lovely. For mains we had pork and weeping tiger. Both were v good and plenty of steak cooked as ordered. Wasn't v spicy so don't be put off by spicy chilli categorisation. We had 2 prices bit could have done with 1. We were both quite full at end. Final bill for 4 was around £250 including service which could have been a lot lower if we hadn't had so many beers! A v enjoyable evening.”

“We enjoyed a lovely Sunday lunch with the family at Thai Square Putney Bridge, made even more special by the beautiful river views — nearly every table seems to overlook the water. The staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the service was impressively quick without feeling rushed. Portions were generous across all dishes. We started with salt and pepper squid and delicate Thai dumplings, both full of flavour. For mains, we chose the Laab sea bass, a rich and comforting panang curry lamb shank, classic pad see ew, and a selection of mixed vegetables. Everything was well prepared, satisfying, and thoroughly enjoyable.”

“The restaurant has an upmarket atmosphere and a great view of the Thames & Putney Bridge if sat by a window. The staff were attentive and the service was quick. All the meals were tasty, fresh and the chef accommodated our request to remove cabbage from the Pad Si-ew. We booked through first table so got 50% off our food, which made it good value - definitely recommend eating here with the discount. Note there is a 12.5% service charge, and both soft & alcoholic drinks are quite expensive. It got busy on a saturday evening match day, so would recommend booking in advance to secure a table on a weekend.”
