About New Bangkok
On Fulham Palace Rd in London, New Bangkok is a Thai restaurant whose menu reaches beyond Thai cooking to Japanese and Korean dishes. A separate vegan menu gives plant-based diners their own choices. The Thai side covers curries, stir-fries and noodles, including Pad Thai, Pad Kee Mao and Chiang Mai Khao Soi with chicken. Dishes come with the spice toned down by default, and the staff turn it up on request. The restaurant is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the Thai noodle and curry dishes, with the Chiang Mai khao soi named repeatedly, described as creamy and rich with real depth. Close behind are the pad kee mao with prawns, the tom yum with prawns, the pad Thai and the green curry, along with fried sea bream, dumplings and a Thai basil stir fry rice that one diner found spicy and flavourful. Several describe a calm, quiet room, friendly waiting staff, generous portions and reasonable prices, and one says the spice is toned down but staff will turn it up on request. One diner found the papaya salad decent but wanted it fresher and crunchier. The caveat is allergen handling. One reviewer says the vegetable pad kee mao on the vegan menu arrived with egg, and that some items were labelled misleadingly. Another reports asking repeatedly for no sugar, then receiving stir fry broccoli that tasted sweet, and says a call about it was cut off after a long hold. One diner closes by thanking staff for taking their order despite closing soon.

“Food was lovely but I asked for one of the vegan menus and unfortunately all the food was misleadingly labeled. Menu was titled vegan but some food said it came with meat, I ordered the vegetable only pad kee mao and it had egg in it (only listed vegetables, no egg and was on the vegan menu). Food still tasted good, just wouldn't recommend if you have allergies since food isn't well labeled 👍”

“I requested clearly multiple times that I have an allergy to sugar. They said they make food freshly and won’t put sugar. When the stir fry broccoli came it had sugar which the person clarified they made food without sugar. I called them saying my mother has an allergic reaction and to check if sugar was added to the dish or not. While in call I heard the chef say just tell them no and get the off the call quickly. The stir fry broccoli was sweet and they put sweet soya sauce when no sugar means no sugar. They don’t take allergy’s seriously and think it’s a joke. The fact they kept me on hold for 10 mins and then cut the call to not talk to me is astonishing on how rude and disrespectful they are. Lbhf.gov.uk please look into this as this restaurant is not taking into consideration allergies”
