  “Absolutely love Sushi Zento! The food is consistently excellent and feels very authentic. Their ramen is amazing, the curry is full of flavour, and the gyoza are some of the best I’ve had. Everything always tastes fresh and well prepared, and the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming every time we visit. It’s one of those places you’re always happy to come back to. Highly recommended if you’re looking for delicious, authentic Japanese food and great service!”

  “This restaurant is amazing, a hidden gem. Definitely among the best Japanese restaurants I’ve eaten. Quality was exceptional, had a bento box and a couple of nigiri. The best miso soup I’ve had, it had so much taste. We were served by a very kind man who seems to be the owner. Would 100% recommend it, I’ll definitely come back to try the sushi and the ramen.”

  “Today Had a really enjoyable meal at Sushi Zento in Muswell Hill today. Everything we ordered was fresh, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The sushi selection was excellent, especially the salmon, tuna and ikura. The sushi rice was nicely seasoned and the fish tasted fresh. The sushi rolls were also very tasty, with a good balance of textures and sauces. The pork ramen was another highlight — rich, flavourful broth with nicely grilled pork on top. The combination worked surprisingly well. We also tried the fried dishes and tempura, which were crispy on the outside without being overly greasy. Everything came out looking appetising and well presented. Overall, a very satisfying Japanese meal. Good quality, generous portions and great presentation. Definitely a place I would come back to and would happily recommend to anyone looking for good Japanese food around Muswell Hill.”

  “This is my go to restaurant in Muswell Hill. My husband and I come here once a week. The food is delicious and the waiter and waitress are very friendly. I’d highly recommend!”

  “I went in as a solo diner and was told to sit at the bar despite there being lots of empty tables. They said they’d all been booked. I reasoned this was fair considering I didn’t have a reservation. However, after a while, 2 people came in and I heard the waitress say she had a table for them. When she saw me look over, she quickly picked up the reservation pad/notebook and pretended to scribble out a name that already had a scribble on it from before. She basically made it look like they had reservations rather than walk-ins. I think saving tables for 2 or more people is discriminative against solo diners, however if you’re trying to make more money, fine. Just don’t lie. It is so classless. I used to come a lot and always left a good tip. Needless to say, I will never return. Midori is better, anyway.”

  “Went there on Valentines day. Food is delicious but kitchen was very slow. We probably waited for hour before we got the food. It's worth the wait but I would have preferred a quicker service. No acknowledgement from the waiter the kitchen was slow either.”

  “The restaurant itself is really pretty, lovely decor, but sadly the food didn’t live up to the setting. We ordered the eel (unagi) bento and the seafood tempura bento, and both were surprisingly completely tasteless. Overall, lovely atmosphere but very underwhelming food.”

  “We have been longing for a decent Japanese food in UK for quite sometimes already. Sushi zento didn’t disappoint me! The food was surprisingly good. The sashimi boat was amazing!!! Many kinds of fishes there! Its very fresh and delicious 😋 definitely worth to order if you love fish, its a decent portion for only £39. The tempura was very crunchy but moist inside which is perfect!!! It tasted as good as it looked. Their rolls are even better, look at the spider rolls and green dragon roll! I cant express how much I like the rolls! Then we ordered the mochi ice cream to end this amazing dinner. I have to say even this dessert amazed me especially the strawberry mochi ice cream, they even have strawberry bits in it! Highly recommend the food!! They also have very polite staff too Definitely will come again!!!!”

  “Very nice local Sushi restaurant. Visited on a Sunday lunchtime so parking was easier than it would be usually. Service is quick and friendly, the menu is extensive and the dishes arrive nicely presented with excellent, authentic flavours. Only docking a star due to the fact that some of our sushi was a little warm, as if it had been left in the serving window under the lamps, which should not be happening. Aside from this, recommended. Second visit was also excellent, this time, unfortunately, they did not have cream cheese for the asparagus and cream cheese California rolls but instead of telling us this, attempted to substitute it with mayonnaise, which didn’t really work. Would still recommend”

  “Great place with a beautiful location, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Great choice of menu, with delicious rolls. The sushi is very fresh, especially the tuna. I definitely recommend the noodles, they were absolutely on spot and tasty! Many thanks to the waiting staff for being so polite and warm.”
