One takeaway customer found the Adana kebab hard and full of flour and artificial flavour rather than pure lamb mince, and likened the salad to a days-old ready-made one. Another found tea and chilli and garlic sauce had to be requested, and the bill on the expensive side. One returning diner, now living outside London, drove in on a birthday for the lamb chops and said they did not disappoint.

“Absolutely amazing experience! The atmosphere was lovely, and the service was outstanding. The staff were extremely attentive and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The food was prepared very quickly, and everything was absolutely delicious. The lamb chops were the best I have ever had—perfectly cooked, incredibly juicy, tender, and packed with flavour. Every dish was fresh and beautifully presented. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for authentic Turkish cuisine, exceptional service, and a fantastic dining experience. “Nice and big restaurant. Had lunch menu. Starter olives and cheese pastry. Expected to be nice. Main meal seabas and crispy chicken wrap, once again Expected to be tasty. Tea had yo be requested and not offered and same with chillie and garlic source. Service was okay. Hygiene seems good. Food presentation was good too. Finally bill was on expensive side.”

“I recently ate at The Woodoven, it was very busy Saturday with a great atmosphere. Food was fabulous and the staff who served us so friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. Can’t wait to go again.”

“My son purchased a takeaway for me yesterday evening an Adana Kebab. Cost £14.90p. Adana kebab it self was fake full of artificial flavours & flour. Adana kebab is supposed to be pure lamb mince meat. The kebab was made of hardly any meat. Please take a look at the photo from my kitchen table. You can tell when a Adana kebab is made of pure lamb mince meat. The kebab is soft not hard like a rock. The salad was an absolut disgrace. Like a ready made salad you pick up in a cheap petrol station that has been sitting there for several days. Again take a look at the photo from my kitchen table. The photo does not lie. I asked for bulgar wheat with the kebab. Again have a look at the photo & make your own judgement. I actually asked my son to buy me a kebab from Yummy Kebab on the opposite side of the road. For some reason they closed early yesterday. Their lamb Donner Kebab is fantastic real lamb meat. They make the Donner in their shop. I have dine in Wood Oven BBQ in the past and it was okay. But yesterday experience I would not dine in there or get a takeaway from there ever again.”

“This was my second visit, and once again the portions were generous. I know it’s mainly known for Turkish food, but I actually go there for their steaks, which I really enjoy. The piña colada was also a highlight ✨”

“Have not been here in a couple of years as I moved out of London but for my birthday I drove 60 miles as I wanted the lamb chops from here. Did not disappoint. Still amazing and the service is still excellent. I love the new refurbishment they have done. The place is always clean and parking is easy enough to find on the side road if none out the front.”

“Been to this place for the first time, food was excellent, decent pricing, friendly customer service, food was served very quick within 10-15 mins, shop decor styling looked nice. Highly recommended and I would definitely go there again. Another great Turkish restaurant for those who love Turkish food.”
