Customer Review Summary
Wick Fisheries draws consistent praise for its fresh, well-cooked fish, with several reviewers calling it the best fish and chips in London and highlighting the skate and rock eel as standouts. The roast potatoes and generous portions also earn repeated mentions, along with the friendly, professional service behind the counter. However, a few recent reviews point to a dip in quality, noting that the cod bites can arrive as mostly skin and thin meat rather than proper fillets, and one customer reported burnt, sludgy batter on an otherwise promising visit. Another found the chips disappointing despite the fish being decent.

“Delicious fish, haddock fillet size is a bit small (no large fish available on Uber Eats), you get the same amount of fish with cod bites at a third of the price”

“Went in for food tonight and decided to get cod bites charged £4.60 for what appears to be off cuts of the cod rather than actual peices of cod. The fish was mainly cod skin and a thin layer of the meat. This is my local and i go here often however recently I have found the quality has gone down a notch”
