  “Went for late lunch with family our first time eating here. I ordered the chole batura and it did not disappoint. We tried the jeera water and passion fruit cocktail both were surprisingly good. The service was a little slow but food was fresh and hot.”

  “Good food, except Paneer was cold & naan arrived with No Butter.. the salad was left out because they laughed and said we didn’t need it? Kind of expensive at £34.08”

  “Ordered a Masala Dosa and Veg Hakka Noodles. Despite telling them I didn't want spices, unfortunately there were spices in the noodles therefore couldn't eat them. The Masala Dosa and Paneer Tikka was lovely. Quick service. Think I prefer Vijay Chawalla's down the road. Toilets are small.”

  “We’ve been going to Shinde Upton Park Veg Restaurant in London for quite some time now, and I can’t believe we never left a review before. But today felt like the right moment to give them the shout-out they truly deserve. Every visit has been consistently good, and that says a lot. The food is always fresh, full of flavour, and served hot. This time, the spring rolls were absolutely spot on — crispy on the outside and perfectly balanced inside. The paneer bhurjee was rich, well-seasoned, and tasted just like proper home-style comfort food. And the naans? Soft, fluffy, and the perfect pairing with everything on the table. A special mention to Govind for the excellent service. He was attentive, friendly, and gave some really good suggestions — including recommending the spring rolls, which turned out to be a great choice. It’s always nice when someone genuinely helps you decide and gets it right. We’ve been here many times and the experience has always been welcoming and satisfying. If you’re looking for quality vegetarian food in Upton Park, this place is definitely worth visiting. Keep up the great work — we’ll definitely be back again!I”

  “This is a really good vegetarian Indian restaurant and a great spot for anyone who appreciates well-prepared meat-free food. The menu is thoughtfully organised into clear sections, making it easy to explore different styles of vegetarian Indian cuisine. The service was very good—friendly, attentive, and efficient. Most importantly, the food was delicious, full of flavour, and clearly made with care. Portions were very, very generous, offering excellent value for money.   “Excellent place, would give it 4.5 stars as my most visited restaurant last year. Not necessarily for people that think Indian food is from a classic local balti though, this is more actual Indian food (southern veg). Breakfast menu is great value and all items excellent, with a nice chai for £5. Other items from main menu have all been very good also, had a good range. Momos nice and spicy, thali very good. Delightful really. Servers very good. Nice people and nice ambience. Thank you.”

  “Shinde's (Green street branch) was recently renovated and I was surprised to see the very elegant interior and beautiful selfie wall. We ordered chilli paneer and dabeli. The sauce and paneer was so delicious 😋. The softness of the paneer with the tangy / spicy sauce was so good. The dabeli was one of the best I have had in a long time. The sweetness of the pomegranate seeds, the spicy peanuts, the buttery pav and masala potatoes were such an excellent combination. The staff were friendly and efficient. Definitely recommend for groups of friends, families, couples or even if you are going solo.”
