About NavaRuchi Kerala Restaurant East Ham
NavaRuchi Kerala Restaurant East Ham is a Kerala restaurant at 200-202 High St N in East Ham, London. The menu centres on Kerala sadya served on banana leaf, so a table can share a traditional leaf meal in one sitting. Malabar biryani and mandi sit alongside it for diners who want a rice dish instead. Fish dishes and beef and chicken roasts fill out the rest of the kitchen, and porotta and palappam come as breads for the curries. Kerala snacks such as pazhampori beef round out the range, giving a first visit several places to start.

Customer Review Summary
The criticism is substantial, though. Several describe slipping food quality. One found the mandi chicken hard and tasting reheated, and another called the chatti choru the worst, the seabass fish masala disappointing and the mint lime juice diluted like water. Service draws complaints too. One diner was left waiting at the entrance while staff looked away, and another table received starters with no plates or cutlery while a staff member was busy on her phone. One reviewer reports finding a hair in ghee rice with chicken Al Faham, and the lime juice was not charged.

“Interesting dining experience! We ordered starters and the food arrived, but there were no plates, cutlery or tissues. We had to ask for these basic things ourselves. The most disappointing part was the staff. She seemed much more interested and busy with her mobile phone than attending to customers. Even when we asked for the basic items we needed, the response was not at all welcoming. A restaurant is not just about serving food. Customer service, basic hospitality and respect should come first.”

“We used to go frequently, food was nice, love having thier biriyani and mandi. everything was good until yesterday, we ordered 2 mandis and chicken in there was proper hard and when i tasted it something was off. Tasted like fried/reheated chicken from last day. As i said this is my first time experiencing as i used to love thier food. (Cheriya labhathin vendi loyal customersne ozhivakkano?) “My final visit to Navaruchi this evening confirmed why I won't be returning. The restaurant wasn't busy, and there were more than enough staff, yet I was left standing at the entrance waiting to be seated. Multiple staff members saw me and simply looked away instead of offering a basic greeting or acknowledgment. Hospitality starts with making customers feel welcome, not invisible. If the owner is reading this, please invest in proper customer service training before focusing on anything else. Respecting a customer's time is the bare minimum. There are plenty of restaurants that value their guests—I would rather spend my time and money there.”

“Today we had some guests over at our home, and I wanted to serve them something special. Instead of making coffee myself, I decided to get two takeaway coffees from **Nava Ruchi**, and it turned out to be one of the best decisions! The coffee was absolutely amazing. Every one of our guests loved it and kept asking where I had bought it from. I just smiled and kept it a little secret! 😊 Seeing everyone enjoy it so much made me really happy. My wife loved it too, and we all agreed it was one of the best coffees we've had. A big thank you to the entire team at **Nava Ruchi ** for consistently serving such wonderful coffee. The quality is always excellent, and the staff are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and professional. Your delicious coffee and warm hospitality made our gathering even more memorable. Thank you once again for making our day so special. Wishing the entire Nava Ruchi team continued success—I look forward to enjoying many more cups of your wonderful coffee! **With heartfelt thanks, 😊☕ Kiran 🙏😊.”

“Second time here, and it still didn’t disappoint. The fish was absolutely amazing, and the fish achar with mango pulissery tasted so good. Everything had that authentic Kerala flavor and the whole meal felt really comforting and homely. It’s honestly worth the hype, and for £15 it’s definitely worth trying.”
