Customer Review Summary
Lamb is the dish reviewers raise most, from tandoori lamb chops and melt in the mouth lamb to the slow cooked Raan Masala leg and bhuna gosht, with several noting its flavour. Close behind are the kebabs, including chicken shish, seekh and shammi, and the Gajar ka Halwa, a carrot dessert served with homemade ice cream. Others mention homemade sorbet, kulfi and Karak Chai. Fresh Peshwari and garlic naan and a kidney curry also draw praise. Diners describe the dining room as elegant, quiet and unrushed, with attentive service, a server who explained the menu, and an owner who was friendly and welcoming. One reviewer found the chicken karahi tasty but not very spicy, and less punchy than the kebab. The one negative review describes a rude manager who questioned a customer after a declined card and called the food bland. A private flight attendant describes catering as seamless from ordering to delivery, and several diners finish on that carrot halwa.

“Elegant restaurant, with delicious traditional Pakistani food. We had the Bhuna gosht lamb, chicken Shish kebab and a slow cooked lamb marinated in spices. Went with a group of women and loved the fresh pineapple Pina colada. Very attentive service . Had a wonderful fun evening. Go. You won’t be disappointed.”

“Delicious Pakistani food. The fresh breads were amazing and light. The slow cooked Raan Masala leg of lamb melted in my mouth and was packed full of flavour. Very charming waitress who explained the menu. Would highly recommend.”

“The manager here was extremely rude and when I was paying he said are you joking? Because my card decline once and I wanted to transfer my funds and he started saying dont waste my time and and overall the food wasnt amazing it was pretty bland considering the insane pricing”

“After visiting Pakistan, I wanted to find an authentic restaurant when I got back to London. This is it, on the fine dining side. Opened in 1976 and still standing a generation later. We shared a chicken kebab which was sumptuous; so much flavour, wished we had ordered more skewers. I also had a chicken karahi which was my go-to when traveling in Pakistan. It was tasty but not very spicy and the chicken felt less punchy than the marinated kebab. We also took some sides: vegetables, chana (chickpeas) and naan. All of them tasted fantastic. For dessert we were offered a Gajar ka Halwa which is a traditional dessert made with carrots. Just trust me on this one, it’s spectacular and comes with homemade ice cream. Overall a superb dinner in a beautiful location in Knightsbridge. It’s romantic, classy and I particularly liked the paintings they have. We paid £117 for two without drinks and don’t think you can get out with cheaper than that!”

“Tucked along a narrow side-street in elegant Bellgravia, this restaurant is a world unto itself. We entered the quiet unassuming exterior to discover a serene refined dining room with superb service and expertly cooked traditional Pakistani food. We shared several delicious grills, spinach and salad sides, tender garlic naan, and sumptuous buttery carrot halvah and pistachio ice cream. Our server was very attentive. It is a quiet dining room made for comfort and conversation. We felt a world away from so much of bustling London.”
