About Olympia
Olympia is a fish and chips restaurant in London, at 105 Romford Rd, with a menu that runs from the chip shop standards to donner kebabs. Cod comes with chunky chips and mushy peas, and the sauces served with it are free. A homemade Turkish-style chilli sauce sits alongside the donner lahmachun wraps, so a kebab order and a fish supper come from the same shop. Battered sausages are on the menu too, and fried chicken pieces are sold with the chips. The shop itself is small.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the fish and chips, praising the huge cod with crispy, thin batter and the generous portions of fat, fluffy chips, with even a small size filling a plate. Close behind is the homemade Turkish style chilli sauce, described as hotter than usual with a curry style flavour, and one reviewer goes out of their way just for it. Others mention thick battered sausages, fried chicken, mushy peas, a half pounder and the donner lahmachun roll, called a beast of a meal. Friendly, smiling staff come up repeatedly, along with free sauces and a refurbished shop. The main caveat is from one reviewer who found the fish and chicken slightly overcooked and dry, though they still liked the chips and saw potential in the fish. Another notes the shop is quite small, which suited a takeaway. One reviewer brought home five portions of fish, chips and mushy peas to eat by the fire.

“Hi, I’ve heard amazing things about your food. I know you guys are not certified halal but I have been told by others that the meat is halal. Do you mind me asking where you get your meat? Like who it’s supplied by? I really want to try out your kebabs but just wanted to make sure the meat is halal. I don’t mean any offence x”

“We came to this stablishment since our first day until the last. What hooked us was the friendlyness of the staff. Very good proportions of food, good price and good taste as well.”

“Ive been here 3 times now and it never dissapoints. The service is quick and the portions of the chips if you get it separate is very generous even the small size chips fills up a whole plate. And the cod fish is so airy, light and crispy and huge. Never dry or lacks any flavour. And the battered sausages are so thick and airy and crisp just like the cod fish. And the environment is very clean. Will keep coming back to always have my weekly fish and chips 💯”
