About Kulu Kulu Sushi
Kulu Kulu Sushi is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant at 76 Brewer St in London, where the colour-coded plates passing along the belt show what each dish is. Free green tea is served with the meal, and a separate kitchen menu can be ordered alongside the belt for hot dishes. Salmon nigiri, tuna rolls and tempura are on offer, with an aubergine dish and Japanese potato salad among the other plates. The seating area is narrow, and a wait is common at busy times. Reservations are not accepted. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. The menu also includes a tempura shrimp temaki.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the sushi itself, with the tempura shrimp temaki singled out as one that never disappoints, and several praise the generous amount of fish in the rolls and the salmon and tuna sashimi as fresh. Close behind are the aubergine dish and Japanese potato salad, plus the free green tea and the good value of a shared spread of plates. The casual setting suits a quick solo lunch or a catch-up with a friend. Complaints are specific. One reviewer found the sushi not fresh, the tempura soggy and the portions small for the cost, and another says the flavours are not quite as authentic as in Japan. One suggests ordering the warm plates from the kitchen because plates on the belt can be slightly cold. The seating gets cramped when busy, with soy sauce hard to reach, and one reviewer reports a long wait while another says there was almost none. One reviewer reports getting food poisoning after dinner here. Another notes that phone signal inside is almost nonexistent, and the bathroom sits down a long flight of stairs but is clean.

“One of the best conveyor belt sushi restaurants in London!! Absolutely delicious food and very authentic!! Their aubergine dish is to die for as well as their Japanese potato salad. 🥗 The down side unfortunately is that it is almost always a 40 minute wait so do factor that into your schedule! highly recommend if u can wait!”

“I've been here many times, and I always enjoy sushi. It's everything how I like - not much rice, but lots of fish. Honestly, the best place in London.”

“I got food poisoning that night after I had dinner here (and I didn’t eat anything all day). I’m not asking for compensation but please be more careful about the food quality and safety.”

“My favorite sushi spot in London. Perfect whether you’re exploring the city alone or with company. From the casual vintage atmosphere to the attentive service, everything makes for a great experience. And of course, the sushi is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend the tempura shrimp temaki , it never disappoints!”

“Tucked into the bustle of Kulu Kulu Sushi on Brewer Street, this long-running Soho favourite remains gloriously resistant to reinvention. In a city where restaurants constantly chase trends, Kulu Kulu feels almost defiantly unchanged and that is precisely its charm. The narrow conveyor-belt sushi bar still hums with the same easy rhythm it has for years: chefs quietly assembling plates at speed, diners reaching instinctively for colour-coded dishes as they circle past, and staff moving with brisk efficiency rather than theatrical hospitality. Nothing here feels curated for social media. There are no gimmicks, no elaborate interiors, no overwrought tasting menus. Just fresh, reliable sushi served without fuss. The fish is consistently impressive for the price point clean, fresh and generously cut while favourites such as salmon nigiri, tuna rolls and crisp tempura arrive with reassuring regularity. Service is understated but sharp; the team seem to operate with the confidence of people who know exactly what they are doing and see no need to oversell it. Kulu Kulu’s enduring appeal lies in that rare balance between simplicity and quality. It is straightforward in the best possible way: a restaurant entirely comfortable in its own identity, serving Londoners exactly what they came for. In a neighbourhood that changes almost monthly, its refusal to evolve into something trendier feels quietly legendary.”
