  “Avoid this place. Complete rip-off. I paid £16.50 for one of the meals, a so-called chicken shawarma meal, and received a few chips with barely any shawarma on top. The food was cold, badly packed, and tasted awful. When I called to complain, they simply hung up instead of taking responsibility. If this is your idea of customer service and food quality, you shouldn't be charging restaurant prices.”

  “I ordered via Uber eats, a kefte meal with rice, bread, hummus, lentil soup, and salad. Order was made between midnight and 1am, arrive promptly with items missing- no hummus or lentil soup. Very disappointed as that was the main decision for ordering. The rice and meat are slightly warm, so disappointing as they are not hot or slightly fresh. They are delivering till 7am so I’m not sure why this has happened.”

  “Great food and really affordable prices. The staff are really friendly and helpful. We ordered a bunch of stuff, falafel, cheese rolls, arayes, shawarma etc. and everything was amazing Recommended 👍🏽 Parking nearby can be tricky considering it’s all permits and/or residential only however in the evenings the nearby roads are free. We parked a short walk away near Tesco.”

  “Good and decent wrap, what makes it original is a paper thin bread, and it's also toasted so it elevates experience even more. Chicken meat was delicate and I quite liked it but I've been eating lots of wraps and shawarmas recently and this one doesn't have a wow effect. It lacks salads, it's got only pickles, which in my opinion is not enough.”

  “Small place but the service, atmosphere and food are great. We ordered a chicken shawarma wrap and a chicken shawarma "Arabic" (basically a small platter style dish). Everything was cooked to perfection, and the flavour is like a proper shawarma from the middle east. Prices are good too, cost us £21 overall with drinks and we were full.”

  “I visited Damascus Bride and it ended up being one of those places where the hospitality stands out just as much as the food. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted with complimentary lentil soup, which was a really nice touch and immediately set the tone. It felt warm, generous, and very in line with the kind of Middle Eastern hospitality you don’t always get in London. (From what I understand, this is actually something they regularly do with meals, alongside other sides.) The food itself is very solid, especially if you’re into Syrian cuisine. The mixed grills and shawarma are the highlights—well-seasoned, generous portions, and very satisfying. The menu is quite extensive, covering everything from wraps and grilled meats to classic mezze like hummus and fattoush, so there’s a lot to choose from. The atmosphere is lively and feels authentic rather than overly polished. It’s the kind of place that’s always a bit busy, with a steady flow of people, which adds to the overall energy. It’s not a quiet, refined dining experience—but that’s not really the point here. Service was friendly and welcoming throughout. Small gestures like the complimentary soup (and sometimes tea or coffee at the end, according to other diners) really elevate the experience and make it feel more personal. Overall, Damascus Bride is less about fine dining and more about generous, comforting food and genuine hospitality. If you’re in the Edgware Road area and want something authentic and filling, it’s definitely worth a visit.”

  “We had Iftar at Damascus Bride on Edgware Road and the food was delicious. The service was very good and the staff were helpful and attentive. It was an open buffet setup and everything was well organised. It was very busy during Ramadan, so if you plan to come for Iftar you definitely need to book in advance as the restaurant was packed. Outside of Ramadan there is usually space. One small suggestion: it would be great if people closed the door properly when entering, as it doesn’t shut fully unless pushed hard and it made the seating area a bit cold. Overall, a very nice experience and I would happily come back.”

  “I attended an Iftar during Ramadan at Damascus Bride, and overall it was a good experience. The food was tasty and varied, the buffet was open which made it very convenient, and the price was reasonable for what was offered. My only comment is that the food wasn’t warm enough. If they could provide a microwave for quick reheating or keep the dishes hotter during such occasions, the experience would be perfect.”

  “Medium size restaurant but food is truly amazing. I'm normally a massive fan of lamb chops and they were very good but the best was the chicken wings. The bread was also very good, had a big thumbs up from my Lebanese friend. The mixed grill is massive with tender meats and nice starters. We ordered 2 mixed grills and another portion of lamb chop dish and chicken wings which ended up too much for 5 people. Could have been enough for 7 people. Price wise was very cheap for central London. Would recommend this restaurant and for sure will be coming back”
