  “I am originally from the north of Iraq and now live in Edinburgh. Every time I visit London, I make sure to come to this amazing place at least once or twice. In fact, there have been times when I’ve travelled to London with no other reason than to eat here. Although I have eaten at many Kurdish restaurants in UK disappointingly which I always compare them to you but sadly nothing like what you guys provide. What makes this place so special is its uniqueness and simplicity. Please don’t ever change it or modernise it—that is exactly what I love about it. It reminds me of the traditional restaurants back home and brings back wonderful memories. I have tried many dishes here, and every single one has been exceptionally delicious. As someone who enjoys cooking traditional dishes for family and friends, I can always tell when food has been prepared with love, care, and passion, and that is exactly what you taste here. I never mind waiting for my food because I know it is freshly prepared and always worth the wait. The portions are also generous and great value. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for your hard work, dedication, and for consistently providing such a wonderful dining experience.”

  “I have visited azmar a few times and they dont disappoint. You will be served with the compliment hummus, salad, bread, soup. Then i have picked a mix grill and the lamb shank. The mix grill especially the lamb is so nice. Lamb shank is really big portion. You will definitely leave with a full stomach”

  “Absolutely fantastic experience! The food was delicious and full of authentic Kurdish flavours. Everything we ordered tasted fresh and beautifully prepared. The service was excellent, very friendly, attentive and impressively fast. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, making it a lovely place to enjoy a meal. I would highly recommend Azmer Restaurant to anyone looking for great Kurdish food and outstanding hospitality. I will definitely be coming back!”

  “The food was delicious and the service exceptional, but the atmosphere was poor. They offer a complimentary salad soup and fresh bread which was great. The generous portions made the food definitely worth the price. However, the atmosphere was so bad I might order takeaway instead.”

The aroma of charcoal grill and slow-cooked spices hits you instantly, setting the tone before the food even arrives. The Lamb Kuzi was outstanding tender, rich, and deeply flavoured, falling apart effortlessly. The rice was fragrant and perfectly spiced, and the sauces added layers of depth without overpowering the dish. You can taste that everything is cooked with patience and tradition. The portions are generous, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Kurdish flavour. It feels homemade but elevated comforting yet impressive. Service was friendly, attentive, and relaxed, which makes the whole experience even better. It’s the kind of place where you sit back, enjoy your meal slowly, and genuinely appreciate the food. Azmar delivers warmth, flavour, and authenticity in every bite Sana was amazing . Highly recommended I’ll definitely be coming back.”

  “We had Kaleh Pacheh and it was genuinely outstanding. Two full servings, exceptionally clean, well prepared, and clearly cooked with care. This is not something you come across easily in London, especially at this level of quality. What really sets Azmar apart is the generosity and attitude. Plenty of fresh bread, plenty of tea, and service that feels welcoming rather than transactional. No awkward counting, no reminders that “this isn’t free”, no penny-pinching atmosphere. Just proper hospitality. In London, and particularly among Middle Eastern and Iranian restaurants, it has sadly become normal to feel nickel and dimed the moment you sit down. Here, it was the opposite. You feel looked after. Not because you’re asking for freebies, but because quality and respect for the customer actually matter. Prices are extremely fair for what you get, and the service is attentive, warm, and professional throughout. Highly recommended. This is a place I would confidently suggest to anyone looking for authentic food, real hospitality, and excellent value in London.”

  “This is one of the best restaurants I ever been to..Generous portions..free starters that includes fresh naan, fresh salad, lentil soup, pickles ..the service is excellent..and most importantly delicious food..very clean restaurant! Staff are very friendly and the food is exceptional..! I can’t recommend this place enough! Thanks very much for all your efforts!”
