About Bari Bari
Bari Bari is a Korean barbecue restaurant at 24 White Church Ln in London. The menu runs beyond the grill to a seafood pancake, galbitang beef rib soup and steak bibimbap served in a stone bowl. Soups, stews and rice dishes sit alongside the barbecue, so a table can order across several parts of the Korean menu. The restaurant is open Monday to Saturday and closed on Sundays. Reservations are taken by phone, and walk-in guests are sometimes seated.

Customer Review Summary
Stews draw the warmest praise, with the soybean stew called truly delicious, one diner loving the fish stew and another finding the braised beef ribs soft. Close behind are the stir fry glass noodles with chicken, vegetable dumplings and cold noodles, plus kimchi and namul side dishes one reviewer found properly seasoned. The seafood pancake gets a colder reception, described as greasy and not particularly special. One steak bibimbap arrived in a cold stone bowl, then came back with leathery beef. Waiting is the recurring complaint. One reviewer describes a set lunch that took far longer than the half full room suggested, with no apology, while another says a lunch order arrived long after it was placed and that servers brushed off repeated questions. A third was kept waiting for a table despite a rebooked reservation. That same group reports finding a piece of metal in a kimchi dish and says the response was dismissive. Others call the staff friendly, quick and good at explaining Korean dishes, though a couple find the food decent but not authentic or spicy enough. One diner was handed a small cookie on Christmas Day.

“Ordered the steak bibimbap because the menu pointed it out as being one of their signature dishes. What came out was cold - the famous stone bowl was literally cold enough to pick up - and not a true bibimbap; with greasy, unseasoned egg fried rice topped with overcooked beef - the only vegetable being a handful of rocket. There was absolutely no point serving this in a bibimbap bowl. When I mentioned it was tepid there was no apology. When they brought it back it was sizzling hot but now the beef was overcooked to the point of being like leather and what little sauce there was had burnt to the sides of the dish. I had to ask for soy sauce to make the rice remotely flavoursome. I also ordered a seafood pancake, which although generous in size, was also incredibly greasy and far too thick. Much like the rice, it was unseasoned and flavourless, while being overly oily, and there was barely any seafood in it. Even soy sauce couldn't save this one so was mostly left. The only saving grace was that the kimchi and namul set were nice and properly prepared/seasoned. These tasted good and were presented well, but hardly made up for the rest of it. Outwardly this restaurant seems to have traditional Korean cuisine and presents itself as an authentic choice, but they are severely lacking in execution as the chefs clearly don't taste their food or properly quality control what leaves the kitchen.”

“Tried Bari Bari Korean Restaurant recently and had a pretty good experience overall. The place was busy, so I’d recommend making a reservation ahead of time to avoid waiting. The staff were efficient and kept things running smoothly, which made the visit feel relaxed. The food was decent—nothing extraordinary, but still enjoyable enough for a casual meal. Overall, a solid spot if you’re in the mood for Korean BBQ.”

“Lovely restaurant. A bit chilly, but service was pleasant and quick. Starters were amazing. My short rib off the bone was a bit chewy, but seasoned well. We're used to hot chilli at our local Korean restaurant, but our meal at Bari Bari wasn't chilli enough. Overall, great service, cute place.”

“Food was so fresh and well cooked and seasoned. Saff super friendly and explained e everything perfectly to me as I didn’t know much about Korean food. It’s also very cost effective! Would come here for dinner too”

“The service is horrendous! I reserved a table for 5 people well in advance and was given a table for four with a chair added to the end that didn’t even have space to move or space on the table to put my bowl down. We had ordered our food at 1:20 pm and the food arrived at 2.30. When we asked the servers repeatedly how long our food would be they brushed us off. The food then came and my friend notices a huge piece of metal in her kimchi!!! I immediately raised this to a server and she had no compassion and laughed in my face. When I went to confront the manager he tried to fob us off by showing us that he was too busy for our concern. The metal was the tipping point I wasn’t even going to raise the 1 hour delay on the food but once I saw how ignorant and dismissive the servers were they left me no choice, bearing in mind this was lunch time.”
