About Asia Villa - Angel
Asia Villa - Angel is an Asian restaurant in London at 379 St John St, a small spot with just two tables. The lunch deal bundles a starter, a main and a drink, and students receive a discount on top of it. Chicken gyozas are on hand as a starter, while Pad Thai and Massaman curry cover the mains. The kitchen can adjust dishes for dietary needs, such as leaving out fish sauce or keeping a plate vegan. With two tables and two staff on the floor, there can be a bit of a wait. The restaurant opens Tuesday to Sunday and closes on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the Pad Thai and the massaman curry, with the curry called one of the best a diner has had and picked out as the highlight of one table's order of Thai chicken wings and Pad Thai. Close behind are the Pad Krapao with chicken gyozas, a spicy Burmese noodle dish with tofu, and dumplings and noodles described as homemade and perfectly cooked. Portions come up repeatedly as generous, and several mention the lunch deal and a student discount as good value. The small room, with only two tables and two staff, means patience is needed, according to one reviewer, though the wait was not outrageous. The one clear complaint is a takeaway tom kha vermicelli soup that arrived as wet noodles with no broth, which the reviewer could not eat and said Deliveroo would not refund. Others describe the owner as kind and welcoming, and one says the kitchen left out fish sauce from a dish on request.

“The food is fabulous and the service outstanding - i cannot believe it took me this long to get around to writing the review. The massaman curry was one of the best I have ever had! The man who cooked the food and waited on me was so sweet and passionate about his menu. Truly respectful about vegan preferences. An assuming small place that serves wonderful food!”

“I ordered tom kha vermicelli noodle soup but what I received is nothing like picture and description. Its just wet vermicelli. No broth at all! You need to pack noodle and broth separately for take-away, unless you forgot the broth of my order. The food cannot be eaten but deliveroo doesn't refund.”

“Quick service and super delicious food! Perfect place for a quick bite before going to Sadlers. Generous size of the portion!!”

“Great spot for lunch! They had a lunch special with a starter, main and drink for only £11.99. We got the Scissor Spicy (Burmese Noodles) with tofu which had so much flavor and a great kick to it. My husband doesn’t eat fish sauce and they were able to adjust the dish without it. Very nice people and the food was delish - highly recommend!”
