About Megan's in the Village (Wimbledon)
Megan's in the Village is a Mediterranean restaurant at 86 High St in Wimbledon Village, London, serving brunch and dinner and open daily. The morning menu takes inspiration from Turkish breakfast, including a poached egg dish with yoghurt. Dinner leans on meze for sharing, with hummus and falafel among the plates. Weekends add a bottomless brunch, which gives groups of friends a reason to settle in for the morning. Fairy lights decorate the dining room, and dogs are welcome. The restaurant also has other branches beyond this Wimbledon Village site.

Customer Review Summary
The complaints are specific. One reviewer waited around 30 minutes for three simple breakfast dishes, including avocado on toast and pancakes, called them overpriced, and found the Turkish-inspired breakfast confused. The same reviewer says cutlery clattering at the service area caused a headache. Another notes a noticeable wait for mains, and a Friday night diner describes no welcome, no goodbye and a small table beside a full one in a near-empty room, while saying the meze is great value for sharing with friends.

“Such a shame as we do like Megan's. Friday night it wasn't the place to be. No one to welcome us, no one to say goodbye. This is a much better place to go with friends and have the meze as it's great value. A quiet romantic dinner this isn't. We were put on a weeny table next to another full table even though the restaurant was pretty empty. I'm sure lunchtime makes a killing in this location.”

“I visited Megan’s in Wimbledon for breakfast after hearing good things about it, but unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. We ordered three small breakfast dishes and paid almost £50, which felt extremely overpriced for what we received. One dish was simply avocado on toast with two eggs. The presentation was very basic and lacked care. I ended up eating only the avocado and eggs, leaving the bread. Another dish consisted of pancakes, and the third was a poached egg dish with yoghurt and bread. We also had to wait around 30 minutes for our food despite the dishes being very simple. What made the experience even worse was the noise. We were seated close to the service area, where a member of staff was drying and stacking cutlery. The constant loud clattering of knives, forks and spoons being thrown into containers was incredibly disruptive. It was so noisy that it genuinely gave me a headache and made it difficult to enjoy a conversation or relax. The restaurant was very busy, and the ventilation around our table did not seem particularly good either, especially being close to the kitchen area. I had hoped to try something inspired by Turkish breakfast from the menu, but the selection felt confused rather than authentic, with random combinations that did not work for me. Overall, the food did not meet expectations, the atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the value for money was poor. I would not return and would not recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing breakfast experience or a place where they can comfortably enjoy a conversation over a meal.”

“Great Mediterranean spot with bright, authentic flavours. The hummus, falafel, chicken and grilled veggies were standout. Our waitress was genuinely helpful with our dietary needs, suggesting safe, delicious options and clearly communicating what could be dairy-free or gluten-free. The cozy vibe and welcoming service make this a reliable choice for flavorful, thoughtful dining. If you go, try the recommendations and enjoy the friendly atmosphere.”
