Quick info
About Hana Korean Restaurant
Hana Korean Restaurant is a family-run Korean restaurant in London, at 60 Battersea Rise, with decorated screens and dark wood in the dining room. A separate gluten-free menu nearly matches the regular one, so guests who avoid gluten can order from almost the same range as everyone else. The kitchen cooks bibimbap and spicy pork bulgogi, and tofu katsu is one of the tofu dishes on offer. The front of the restaurant is small with a few tables, and more tables sit toward the back. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come above all for the separate gluten-free menu, which coeliac diners describe as nearly identical to the regular one and a rare chance at authentic Korean food. Close behind is the sweet chilli chicken, also called Hana Sticky Chicken, with the spicy pork bulgogi, soft shell crab, steak tartare, duck with a salt condiment and seafood bibimbap also named. Vegetarians and vegans mention the tofu katsu, tofu jajjangmyeon and gyoza, and one reviewer singles out the kimchi pancakes as airy yet crispy at the edges. The cinnamon punch and honey plum tea get a mention too. Staff and owners are repeatedly called friendly and knowledgeable about dietary needs, and the atmosphere is described as casual, laid-back and cosy with dim lighting and dark walls. No real complaints surface, though one reviewer notes the front has few tables, with more at the back, and another says it gets busy near dinner time and suggests making a reservation. One diner describes chatting with the hostess and her husband about how they adapted their menu.

“A beautiful family run Korean restaurant where they have a separate menu for those needing gluten-free food! The choice, if you are Coeliac is unbelievable and the owners/waiting staff are super-knowledgeable. A must-try if you need to eat gluten-free in London!”

“Definitely worth going to! Amazing and extensive gluten free menu which is hard to come by sometimes plus it's Korean which is even rarer. All the food I had was great and I will definitely be back when in the area. Soft shell crab, steak tartare, and bimbimbap (I think) Also got some duck with a salt condiment which was very good!!! Atmosphere is casual!”

“A decent selection for veggies. The tofu katsu was absolutely delicious, would recommend. I didn't know the cinnamon punch existed but I now want to drink nothing else.”

“The food was so good and the staff was really friendly too. Homely hospitality. Please get the kimchi pancakes because I love how it’s airy yet crispy on the side. Can get really busy close to dinner time so do make a reservation!”
