About Kangnam Pocha
Kangnam Pocha is a Korean restaurant in London, on Drury Ln, and it is open daily. The menu centres on creamy cheese chicken rice served on a sizzling hot plate. Korean fried chicken comes in two versions, one with a sweet chilli coating and one with a "snow cheese" seasoning, so the table can choose between a sweet-and-spicy and a cheese-flavoured plate. For something from the soup and stew side of the menu, the kitchen makes gamjatang, the potato soup. A queue outside is common in the evening.

Customer Review Summary
Korean fried chicken is the most frequent draw. Reviewers praise the sweet chilli version and one with snow cheese seasoning and spring onion, calling it crispier and lighter than expected, in large pieces. Bibimbap comes close behind, including a sizzling version with beef and fresh vegetables. Soups also feature, among them beef soup, oxtail, potato soup, sundae soup and jjambbong tang. Seafood and kimchi pancakes are described as crispy outside and soft inside, and the creamy cheese chicken rice on a hot plate arrives in a huge portion, crisp at the bottom. Staff are called friendly, and food is described as hot and quick. The recurring trade-off is the queue outside, which several reviewers say they see on every visit, with one warning of lines after 5pm. Another found the seating cramped. Portions are widely called generous and the value good, and one reviewer just back from Korea said the gamjatang cured a craving for stews.

“Very reasonably prices and delicious Korean food. We particularly enjoyed the kimchi pankcake which was perfectly cooked - crispy on the outside and soft and warm inside. Seating is quite cramped if that’s something you are concerned about (but all good for us). We went just after they opened so there was no queue :)”

“Absolutely loved this place! The Korean food here is incredibly delicious and super authentic—it truly tastes like it’s straight from Seoul. The portions are also very generous, so you definitely get great value for your money. Highly recommend if you’re craving real Korean cuisine. I’ll definitely be coming back!”

“Kangnam Pocha is such a comforting Korean spot in London. The food tasted really authentic and full of flavour, especially the rich beef soup and the sizzling bibimbap with perfectly cooked beef and fresh vegetables. The seafood pancake was crispy on the outside while still soft inside, and the portions were generous too. The atmosphere felt casual and cosy, like a proper Korean local restaurant rather than a trendy chain. Service was friendly and the food came out hot and quickly. Definitely a great place if you’re craving hearty Korean comfort food in London. Will be coming back again to try more dishes!”
