About Primavera Restaurant
On New Kings Rd in London, Primavera Restaurant is a family-run Italian restaurant where the chef is the owner and his wife works front of house. The menu covers both pizza and pasta, with the pasta side including rigatoni with wild boar ragù and linguine with scallops and garlic. A rocket salad and garlic bread with mozzarella sit alongside them for the table. Dogs are welcome, and the room can seat a large group without a reservation. The meal ends with complimentary olives and limoncello brought with the bill.

Customer Review Summary
Pasta draws the most praise, especially the ragù. One diner calls wild boar ragù with rigatoni perfectly al dente, another singles out the ragù pappardelle, and a third points to gnocchi alla gorgonzola with pancetta. Pizza and the bruschetta, led by creamy garlic mushrooms, come close behind. The garlic bread with mozzarella, a beetroot and feta salad, and arancini also earn mentions. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and lovely, prices are called fair, and one group was seated without a reservation. The criticism is sharper but less frequent. One diner found the scallops aglio linguine sauce too creamy and fatty, said the pasta tasted like Asian noodles, and complained that the salad with the burrata platter was mostly rocket leaves. Another found the main bland and unseasoned and the calamari rubbery, with only the bread and desserts redeeming the meal. One diner's meal began with complimentary olives and ended with limoncello brought alongside the bill.

“Great little independent Italian in. Started with the selection of bruschetta, which was excellent - the creamy garlic mushrooms were the standout, although the salmon and cream cheese slapped too. For main, I had the chicken Milanese and added the wild boar ragù with rigatoni. Absolutely banging. Pasta perfectly al dente, the ragù gave the dish more depth, and the chicken was moist and well-seasoned. Really good food, fair prices and lovely staff. Exactly the sort of independent local restaurant you want to have nearby IMO”

“My boyfriend and I love coming here. We have now been a few times and have sampled a number of items on the menu, none have disappointed! Yesterday I had their beetroot and feta salad and it was incredibly tasty! But if you have to get any item on the menu I recommend the garlic bread with mozzarella, to die for! Service is also 10/10, the Italian lady is very kind and attentive! Huge plus they always play Italian hits!”

“We had a great night. We had arancini, gnocchi alla gorgonzola with pancetta, and linguini with scallops, plus a beer and a glass of wine. We asked the waiter—who was super charming—whether the house specialty was pasta or pizza, and he elegantly hinted that while people do eat pizza, he pointed us toward the pasta. We appreciated that, as too often you get service that says everything and nothing in the same sentence. Everything came to £78, we will come back!”

“I am an Italian food lover, but this is the worst Italian restaurant I've ever been to in my life. Their pasta tasted like Asian noodles, oh my gosh, unbelievable! I ordered the scallops aglio linguine and my daughter ordered the burrata platter. We didn't finish our food because the salad was more rocket leaves than anything. The sauce for the scallops aglio was so gross! It was not a good taste, too creamy and fatty. I didn't finish it. This Italian restaurant is not authentic! I will not recommend this restaurant, its not worth it what i paid for.”
