Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the friendly, accommodating staff, from a server who removed the shells from the spicy garlic shrimp to a kitchen that promptly rectified overcooked steaks at a birthday meal. Close behind are the dishes: lamb cutlets with mint sauce that one reviewer said melted in the mouth, a spaghetti bolognese with a nicely balanced ratio of meat to pasta, thinly coated calamari, a soft special croquette, and monkfish wrapped in prosciutto alongside King prawns Nino's style. The wine list draws praise too, with Gavi named. Seasoning is the recurring complaint. One diner found the prawns, bruschetta and veal-stuffed mushrooms underwhelming, and another found the spaghetti under-salted and the veal main too dry. Reviewers also mention very few vegetarian options, butter too hard to spread on the warm bread, a disappointing Christmas pudding, and a room that can get a little noisy. One reviewer calls a reservation essential on busy nights. Another describes food, music and dancing on weekends.

“Went to celebrate a birthday with my wife and found the food and service very good indeed. We had the monkfish wrapped in prosciutto and King prawns Nino's style. We added mixed vegetables and zucchini with a few glasses of Gavi. Wonderful.”

“Perfect Italian food, very busy restaurant and service had to cope with all tables in the restaurant, having said that they were very polite and helpful. Will go there again and again. Fantastic wine list.”

“Amazing atmosphere, food and service. Highly recommend this place, great energy here if you go during the weekend. Expect food, music and dancing! During the week is more tamed, allowing you to enjoy some great food with less partying.”

“First time at Nino’s and I enjoyed my experience there. As soon as I walked in I was immediately greeted and felt welcomed. Was shown to our seats and was served with bread and butter. The bread was warm and delicious and the butter was quite hard so it was difficult to spread on the bread but that doesn’t chance the overall quality of the food this place has provided. I ordered a spaghetti bolognese, the portion was good and it was filling. Came out really hot and the ratio with pasta and meat was amazing nicely balanced. My friend order the spicy garlic shrimp, that was lovely and they provided extra service by removing the shrimp shell! Very accommodating and pleasant. Overall a great experience with the service and food. :))”

“Had a great evening with the girls from my Zumba group. Excellent atmosphere, staff really helpful and overall the food was very good considering it was from a set Xmas menu ( only thing I wouldn't recommend was the Christmas pudding - everything else was great). Would definitely go back.”
