About Snowflake Gelato - Soho

Snowflake Gelato - Soho is an ice cream shop in London, on Wardour St at number 102, where the counter holds more than 50 gelatos and sorbets made on-site each day. The Snow Cob is a corn gelato shaped like a sweetcorn cob, so the dessert takes the form of the ingredient. The flavour range changes with the season, and the peach gelato also comes in a version dipped in white chocolate. Matcha drinks sit on the menu too, including an ube matcha topped with ube cream. Coffee, including lattes, rounds out the drinks alongside the gelato.

Customer Review Summary

Peach gelato is the flavour reviewers name most often, described as light, peachy and refreshing, including one version dipped in white chocolate with a coating that was not too heavy. Close behind is the corn flavour, along with the snow cob that looks like a sweetcorn cob and carries a hint of sweetcorn taste, which one reviewer found surprising. Others single out a smooth, creamy pistachio, the Dubai chocolate cremino, and an ube matcha topped with ube cream, while the seasonal rotation runs from lavender to peanut. Staff are repeatedly called friendly, and one server let a table sample several flavours before choosing. Complaints centre on portions and toppings. One reviewer wanted a bigger latte cup, another wanted more sauce on the lotus milk cake, and one pair did not take to the matcha cloud with coconut water. Indoor seating is described as limited. One reviewer found the crepe okay but short on Nutella, since the menu promised lashings.

“I absolutely loved this dessert! At first, I thought it was just a cake, but it turned out to be something even better and far more delicious. The flavor was outstanding, and the presentation was beautiful. The quality exceeded my expectations, and the price was definitely worth it. I highly recommend giving it a try!”

“Always looking for something different to try when in London, and considering the extreme heat this was an obvious choice for a visit. Went for the Peach flavour dipped in white chocolate. Loved the presentation and it also delivered on flavour. Peachy and refreshing and with not too much chocolate in the coating. They got the ratios just right. Servers were also friendly. This is not a cheap option but you are getting the quality you pay for and I could definitely be tempted back again for a go at some of the other flavours.”

“They have a great variety of choices from lavender to peanut on a seasonal rotation. A young team behind the counter was serving in a friendly manner. The high quality of ingredients could be felt at every spoonful (or lick, ha ha). Open till late, limited seating area indoors.”

“Visited when they were doing some training/presentation for quite a large group of females, so not the greatest for my anxiety but was served with smile and politeness. Had a small chat with founder/owner outside which I truly appreciated and it was much more important than my latte. We live for small human moments like that, where connection is established and we can just talk about life. Latte was good, quite strong which is unusual in London now but appreciated from this customer. Wish cup could have been slightly bigger. Also branding is fantastic, hope it’s not only for ‘snow flakes’. All the best with your new branches outside London.”
