Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the fresh fish in a crisp batter, with cod and haddock both singled out as flaky and made to order. One notes fresh cod arriving several times a week, and another appreciated grilled options alongside fried. Portions come up repeatedly as huge or generous, and one calls the value great. Close behind is the tartare sauce, which one reviewer ranks among the best they have tasted. Others mention crispy chips and a scampi order. The one reservation is the chips, which a single reviewer found okay-ish next to the fish. The same reviewer remarks that the neighbourhood is not an obvious spot for seafood, though they walked over after visiting Emirates Stadium. Service draws warm comments, with staff described as friendly, polite and welcoming. They chat with customers and give recommendations, even when busy. Food is brought to the table and presented well, and one reviewer also mentions a fun collection of soft drinks beyond the usual bunch.

“Wow! We were blown away by how awesome this place was. The owner and staff went above and beyond to make our time there enjoyable. They get deliveries of fresh cod 3 times a week- so the fish was fresh. They had grilled as well as fried options- which I greatly appreciated. They gave us great recommendations and chatted with us. The food was amazing! Cant recommend this place enough!”

“EASILY the best F&C I’ve ever tasted in this city. Served with a side of fantastic politics 🍉 i couldn’t ask for more. They’re an excellent community restaurant where everyone knows everyone. They even run politics courses for young people. The serving is absolutely enormous and great value. The cod tastes super fresh and the batter has a perfect crunch and zero sogginess.”

“Officially the best fish & chips I’ve had thus far. Relaxed atmosphere, generous portions, and very fresh and ethically sourced food. Had Scampi and Fish and Chips. They also have a fun collection of soft drinks (not the usual bunch).”

“I was around the area after visiting Emirates Stadium, and crave a fish and chips. 15 minutes walk from the stadium. Well, not the best area to find seafood restaurant, but it is what it is. I ordered Haddock, and it was made to order. The fish was fresh and the batter is crispy. The chips are okay-ish. The tartare sauce, is amazing! One of the best tartare sauce I’ve ever tasted.”
