About The Chocolate Cocktail Club
The Chocolate Cocktail Club is a cocktail bar at 72 St John St in London, and it presents itself as the UK's first bar built around chocolate cocktails. The menu leans on chocolate touches throughout, including sprinkled rims, pieces of chocolate in the glass, and a Rolo served with the Chocotini. The tipsy tiramisu sits among the dessert-style drinks, and a seasonal menu has included an Easter "Bunny" cocktail. Mocktails and several hot chocolate flavours are on the list, along with non-chocolate cocktails and beer for anyone who wants something else. Afternoon tea comes with sandwiches and cakes. A happy hour runs alongside deals on espresso martinis and beer. The London Pass is accepted for the signature cocktail.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers come for the chocolate cocktails, and the tipsy tiramisu is the one named most often, with the chocotini served with a rolo, chocolate espresso martini, biscoff martini, Toblerone and Jaffa cake close behind. Diners describe drinks that look good and taste like quality, with chocolate rims, pieces in the glass and strawberries on top. The afternoon tea and the multiple flavors of hot chocolate also get mentions, and several describe friendly staff who offer recommendations and, in one case, called taxis. The main reservations are about atmosphere and handling. One reviewer found the room designed for social media and gimmicky, with an upbeat Britney and Queen playlist that suited a livelier crowd, and the room was quiet on a Friday evening. Another was first told a London Pass could not be used at weekends, then told there was no table for four, until a table appeared once they asked only for the cocktail. One reviewer notes a happy hour deal on espresso martinis, and an anniversary couple were surprised with a sweet gesture.

“Absolutely brilliant place. The afternoon tea was lovely and the cocktails were fantastic. We had the tipsy tiramisu, mint chocolate chip, biscoff martini and the Jaffa cake. The team are really friendly people. They take the time to have a chat and say hello and are really happy to have you there. They make great recommendations on what cocktails for your preferences. Would definitely go again when back in London. The owner was also suggesting other interesting bars and restaurants for us while we were in the area”

“We went to celebrate my husband’s birthday after dinner for dessert drinks. The cocktails were delicious with a calming atmosphere. The staff we had Hannah and Alex were extremely attentive and really made our celebration more memorable. Highly recommend”

“Such a cute place and randomly fantastic prices for what you get, £4.50 beer and 2 for £12 espresso martinis during happy hour or a Sunday. The cocktails are phenomenal for chocolate lovers but they also do the usuals as well. A great place for a treat or a catch-up after work. Sorry we didn't get the best pics but the menu is amazing. And lovely people working there too.”

“Thank you to Holly and Rebecca. It was a delicious experience that I highly recommend. The multiple flavors of hot chocolate were my weakness, I had all. The sweet and savory offered was delectable. I shall return for my chocolate high.”
