  “We just had another great social event at Clerkenwell & Social. Their team consistently provides excellent service, from booking and planning the menu to providing helpful staff on the night. A particular thank you must go to Lily, our amazing bar tender for the evening. She was professional, friendly and attentive to all of the party-goers. We all had a wonderful evening and it’s down to the fantastic team and venue at C&S. Thanks all!”

  “The food here is nice, especially for a place that is more of a bar than a food place. Drinks are also good, they pour a sweet guinness. Staff has been both super nice and friendly and not so welcoming on different visits, so maybe we’ve caught them on bad days occasionally since overall it’s good vibes. Outdoor seating area is great and has a cover for if it rains or if it’s too sunny”

  “We hired the upstairs bar at Clerkenwell & Social for my partner’s surprise 50th birthday party. The venue is beautiful, well located and a perfect space for a celebration! Lovely staff, fantastic cocktails and great value for money party packages. A special mention for barman Adam and managers Guy and Norbert who made everything flow smoothly. Amazing night with plenty of great memories!”

  “It’s quite difficult to review Clerkenwell and Social because it’s unclear what the venue is. It’s not a restaurant but they offer a pizza menu, and it’s not quite a bar either. It is in a quiet location in Clerkenwell. Perhaps it’s geared towards the weekday work crowd. The venue has half a dozen tables and when we visited last night, there two groups playing card games. It has a good sized heated outdoor seating area and they also host private parties - whoever was upstairs was having a blast! The pizzas were fantastic. A good range on the menu with the option to add extras. The staff were friendly enough. The beer range is good but what stood out for me were the home infused spirits. Chilli vodka to toffee apple whiskey to mango gin. Very exciting and very tasty. It’s an intriguing venue and we will certainly go back again.”

  “The room above was perfect. We would book again. Having your own bar, toilet, TV, sound system and the privacy needed to be as fun as you want, made this the best decision.”

  “Went here quite late for a drink and a bite to eat on a bit of a whim... Let's start with the positives; + The pizza was absolutely delicious here - nice thin crust, and good taste to the cheese, tomato and salami. Didn't have the olives advertised on Google Maps, but didn't mind too much. + Serving staff were friendly (seen reviews on here saying otherwise, but they were friendly and polite). Negatives; - The sharing 'social board' option which is about £15 is so bad! The scamorza croquettes are a salty non-distinct flavoured mush on the inside, the arancini again had a softer than expected mushy texture and flavours were not good, and there's about 1.5 slices of salami provided. Strongly recommend swerving this option! - The bar staff said we'd have ten more minutes outside when ordering drinks, but immediately after paying and carrying, the security man refused to let us take them outside, instead insisting that we move all our existing drinks and little food inside. The real kicker was seeing a server take a drink to another table outside. We complied without kicking a fuss, but this contradiction felt like discrimination. Regretfully, will not return to this place for that reason.”

  “Visited this place 2 days ago. The atmosphere was lovely, and even though the terrace was full, inside, the AC was on, so it was pleasant. As the place has many options for drinks, and I struggle to decide, the waitress helped me by suggesting few drinks. The waitress made the experience very pleasurable as she was friendly yet professional, making small chat. Her name was Sheila, a black haired lady (thank you again for the excellent service🙏). The place is clean and stylish. Would come again. P.s. the pizza I've ordered was a different shape than usual so I was confused at first 🤣”

  “Excellent cocktails and excellent service in a stylish, unusual and still cozy atmosphere! The team take great care for the safety of their customers in this current Corona madness, and still make you forget the world outside for an hour or three. Bonus: the food is great, as well!”
