About Grind

On London Brg, Grind is a cocktail bar and brunch restaurant set in a room with exposed brick walls. The 28-item menu runs from almond porridge and açai bowls to grilled cheese and huevos rancheros, alongside a breakfast burrito and one pan eggs. Bottomless brunch is offered, with a pecan-caramel espresso martini on the drinks list alongside the house-blend coffees. Pancakes, a buttermilk chicken burger, steak and eggs, and a grind breakfast plate round out the savoury side, and hashbrowns and a chilli hot chocolate with an oat milk option also feature. Seating is at high stools around the tables. It opens daily, and reservations are recommended, since the room can get busy and fully booked at peak times, with service slowing accordingly. Free Wi-Fi is available for those settling in with a laptop. The bar sits close to Borough Market, near London Bridge.

Customer Review Summary

Bottomless brunch is the recurring draw at Grind, with reviewers repeatedly praising the pancakes and hashbrowns alongside a rich, well-brewed coffee that several call top-tier. Close behind, the cocktail list draws attention, from the pecan-caramel espresso martini to a bartender-crafted special mixed on request, and many single out attentive staff who guide guests through the menu. Not every plate lands the same way, though: one visitor found the steak and eggs underwhelming and the grind breakfast bland, with hashbrowns described as tasting like frozen blocks, while another felt short-changed on the avocado toast's salmon portion. A separate account describes ordering two Espresso Martinis and a portion of skin-on fries so heavily salted it left the reviewer feeling unwell, only to be charged far more than expected after being told a promotional price didn't apply that day, with extra tax and a service charge added on top. Some also mention slow drink service on busy nights and limited seating. Even so, most describe leaving satisfied, with several saying they plan to return for cocktails they hadn't yet tried.

“Absolutely wonderful place! The food was so so good, staff was SO lovely! My friend spilled her drink because of the wind and they gave her a new one for free! Ross and Mamun were absolutely lovely and we got free shots! Highly recommend!”

“Went to Grind for the first time with a couple of friends. We had the bottomless brunch option which was excellent. The food was really tasty but our waitress - Divya, was an absolute standout of the afternoon!! She was very nice, super accommodating and very much on top of topping up our glasses. I felt really looked after which is not always the vibe at bottomless brunches. I will be definitely coming back and hopefully will get served by Divya again :)”
