  “We were a group of 8 visiting for pre-dinner cocktails and without exception, we all loved it! It was our first visit and we’ve been telling everyone who will listen just how cool it is and that they should visit! The staff are amazing, very accommodating and knowledgeable - special mention for Tom who looked after us! Service was speedy too which helped us sample the menu which was very interesting and diverse. Such a unique experience, the decor is great and the atmosphere matched. A true hidden gem in East London!”

  “any time I find myself in Liverpool street at evening time I make an effort to pop into this bar. it really is lovely. hard to find, with an unmarked open door leading to mysterious stairs. once downstairs you'll be greeted by a atmospherically lit, comfortable basement bar stock with the best drinks, made by wonderful bartenders. it's recommended that you try one of their specialty drinks first and then let that take you on a "journey" Don't neglect ordering the classics. I've found that no matter what your choice of tipple, they have exactly the right bottles to make a perfect version. it's rare you look at a bar back and just see nothing but the best and tastiest bottles. you can really see the care and imagination that goes into every drink. it's a "must attend" if you like cocktails and you're in London.”

  “Did a walk in (recommend booking if coming later!) served by the lovely Tom who recommended great cocktails for my friend and I. Those that enjoy a sour with a pistachio twist will defo recommend the Tijuana Panther! Thanks again Tom!”

  “Smaller than expected but still lovely atmosphere but very dark though! It was busy but the host told us we were allowed to stand and order drinks which we did until two seats at the bar freed up. Cheap cocktails for London prices and definitely gets you your moneys worth.”

  “Lovely tucked away basement bar, away from the hustle and bustle of Bishopsgate. The cocktail choices are unique yet delicious and the bartenders are very hospitable! Would recommend for anyone looking for an intimate drinks setting”

  “Very much liked it here! Hidden, dark and cosy speakeasy vibes. Fantastic cocktails with proper ingredients 👌🏾 It’s quite small though, very intimate, so could be worth booking in advance.”

  “This basement spot has a great speakeasy vibe that feels lively and packed without being grungy. The servers are super friendly and enthusiastic and the rotating menu keeps the experience fresh. While our drinks were decent rather than extraordinary, the cheap prices definitely put this place on our "come back" list.”

  “Went in for a quick drink before dinner and were super happy we did. We just walked in and they found us a table, but it’s a small place so make reservations if you’re going later. Really cozy underground bar with exposed brick, wood beams and candles. The drinks were all interesting and the few we tried were pretty much perfect. A little something that would work for everyone. Tried the cheese plate as well (because who can resist a cheese plate) and it was great. A nice mix of cheeses and just the right amount for a snack. Overall a great place for a cocktail or three.”

  “Cozy hidden bar or more of a speakeasy with great ambiance and service. The cocktails are exeptional and I highly recommend Corn Star, a mix of Mexican spirits and liqueur. Not really a place for food but their cheese plate are excellent.”
