  “⭐ 1/5 – Absolutely Disgusting Experience! I am extremely disappointed and disgusted with my experience at Papa’s Chicken. After eating their food, I started having stomach problems and have been constantly going to the toilet ever since. This is absolutely unacceptable! I paid for a meal expecting decent food, not to end up feeling unwell and spending my time in the bathroom. I am seriously concerned about the food quality and hygiene standards. I will definitely think twice before eating here again. Very disappointing experience. I would not recommend this place based on what happened to me!”

  “Very disappointing service provided by the lady at service. She refused to accept a Scottish £5 note saying that it’s not UK currency. I tried to explain to her that it’s also a British currency because Scotland is part of the UK. The. She made a racist comment in Hindi saying, “Kitne baat korthey he ya loog”. I didn’t bother arguing with her anymore because I didn’t have time for that. I don’t recommend this place at all.”

  “Half of the order missing. No way to contact the shop. Asked just eat for refund, been told no because i gave the driver delivery code so i verified everything is in order. Basically need to rip open the packaging and count every peace of chicken in my doorway.”

  “I visited their East Ham branch at around 6:40pm on 29 July 2026. The chicken wings were good, but the service was unbelievably rude. I asked if I could change my order, and the guy at the counter shouted at me. It felt like I wasn't even allowed to make a simple change. The way I was treated was completely unacceptable and very disappointing. Definitely not coming back.”

  “A little disappointed this is one of my favourite chicken and chips shops however I am extremely disappointed in the lack of hygiene especially with the food I brought last night. I have had bad stomach ache I don’t think I will be buying from papas anymore.😔”

  “I visited Papa's Chicken in Upton Park today and ordered a burger meal with chicken strips. The burger was fresh and tasted good, but unfortunately the chicken was a big disappointment. Both pieces of chicken seemed to have been fried in old oil. They had an unpleasant smell, and the meat inside was slightly undercooked. It also tasted as if the chicken had been sitting for a long time or had been reheated. The crispy coating was soft and soggy instead of fresh and crunchy. I hope the restaurant pays more attention to food quality and freshness because serving chicken like this is not acceptable.”

  “Horrible place, especially for white people. They have regular customers served outside the queue and they do not have to pay as for example they are old Muslim men. To talk to the manager I was sent to Barking Rd branch and they ignored my complaint. They gave me a random mobile numbers claiming I will speak to the manager. I asked for the store number ..... They do not have it. It is a big chain in East London but they treat white people with no respect.”

  “I visited Papa’s Chicken in Upton Park last week and ordered a burger. The food was tasty, fresh, and well made, with a good portion size. The customer service was also good the staff were polite, helpful, and efficient. Overall, a solid place for good food and reliable service. Would visit again.”

  “Had the best tasting chicken fillet meal with chicken wings and a chicken piece !! Generous portion of fries and great service from the staff !! Price is at par with other takeaways in east London. Please keep it up as you are going to be my favourite spot for takeaway !!!”

  “I rate this place only becuase of thier Chicken stripes. The tender succulent strips are just amazing. I would also recommend the chicken wings. The prices in this shop are very cheap. However the quality of other food such as the fries are not the best. The shop seems a little messy at times and although very nice staff the language barrier makes communication difficult at times.”
