  “I had a mixed experience at Five Lads. The customer service was good, and the staff were friendly and attentive. However, the food was disappointing. The lamb chops were burnt on the inside, which affected both the taste and quality. The chicken tasted like it had simply been boiled with sauce poured on top afterwards, rather than being properly seasoned or marinated. The flavour did not go deep into the meat, so it tasted quite bland. While I appreciate the good service, the food quality needs improvement.”

  “Fairly decent l, would definitely go back, good food. Would like them to be a bit more flexible. I think we tried to change beef for chicken, which I've done in other places, otherwise would recommend this place.”

  “I had a very unpleasant experience at this restaurant. While eating my meal, I found a hair in my food, which is extremely unhygienic and unacceptable. When I raised this issue with the staff, the manager refused to acknowledge the problem, and other staff members were rude and unhelpful. There was no proper apology or attempt to resolve the situation. This is not the first time I’ve had issues here, as I previously experienced concerns with food quality as well. Overall, the hygiene standards and customer service are very poor. I would not recommend this place until serious improvements are made.”

  “I drove past here a couple of times and decided to finally pop in. I was very pleasantly surprised. The food was absolutely amazing. I got 1/4 chicken and loaded fries. Flavours where amazing. Service was amazing and the atmosphere was really nice. I would recommend everyone to give this place a try 10/10.”

  “I went to Five Lads after not eating the whole day, and honestly, that first bite felt like therapy. This was my first meal of the day, late at night, and I’m telling you — it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a very long time. I ordered the loaded box: a chicken strip burger, four lemon & herb strips, a drink, and a big portion of chips. Every single thing was perfect. The flavour, the heat, the seasoning… wallahi, I could’ve cried. That’s how good it was. I even thanked the owner repeatedly because the food genuinely hit a level of satisfaction I didn’t think I could reach — especially on a freezing winter night with an empty stomach. I hope everyone gets to experience that kind of simple happiness at least once in their life. Peak satisfaction. Thank you, Five Lads. ❤️🔥”

  “I visited the Five Lads restaurant in Leyton and was impressed by the food and service overall. The grilled chicken platter was really good the sauce was flavorful, and the chicken tasted fresh and tender, clearly made to order. Portions are generous and great value for money . The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly with plenty of seating. Staff were welcoming and even accommodated special drink requests when needed . The service was fast and polite, both for takeaway and dine-in visits”

  “The last time I went to Fivelads was a few years ago. Today, i was driving past the place and thought I'd pop in for a quick lunch with the family. The layout and place looked similar since the last time I was there (5 years ago), but with some updated deco and menu. I ordered the 15-wings platter with 2 sides, chocolate milkshake, kids' gourmet burger, and the normal gourmet beef burger for myself. I enjoyed the food as it was similar to Nandos. The atmosphere was not too busy, but that's probably because it was Saturday afternoon. The family enjoyed the food and we gladly eat all the food. The service was good and had no complaints. One of the two toilets was out of order, but since it was quiet, I didn't have to wait (had toddlers with me, lol). Overall, the place was good enough for a quick bite, but nothing fancy. The prices were similar to Nandos as I spent £40 for my order. There was on street paids parking available outside, but maybe only 2 or 3 cars can fit there. So on busy day s it might be harder to find parking.”

  “I am surprised by some of the comments to be fair. I really like this place, the staff are great (admittedly the photos shows one of the quiet times that I went, so I could take good pics). The platter is REALLY GOOD, the sauce on it is lovely. The burgers, chicken where freshly prepared, so the chicken was tender. The gentleman on the counter even accommodated my drinks request, as I don't do soft drinks (coke/pepsi) I told him. Family friendly too and lots of seating options, that's why we like it.”
