About Querky Cafe
Querky Cafe is a halal cafe in London, near the Royal London Hospital in Shadwell and Whitechapel, at 110 Watney St. The Big Breakfast is made with pork-free meats such as turkey rashers, and it comes with fried egg, sausages, hashbrown, grilled tomato, beans and toast. Spicy grilled or fried mushrooms are part of the plate too, and the halal menu extends to a full English. French toast and a granola bowl round out the food. Coffee and lattes sit alongside iced and hot drinks. A cat lives on the premises, so visitors share the space with a resident animal. The cafe is open daily.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the Big Breakfast, describing a plate of fried egg, sausages, hashbrown, spicy grilled mushrooms, turkey rashers, grilled tomato, beans and toast, with pork-free meats and a halal full English praised as the best one reviewer has had in ages. Close behind is the coffee, with the latte called better than those at popular chains, plus a caramel frappe and a granola bowl made fresh for takeaway. The mixed berry and maple syrup French toast also gets a mention. Many describe friendly, calm staff, a bright, clean room where people can study or work in peace, and good value, with one noting the price is slightly expensive but the quality justifies it. The caveats are specific. One reviewer found the Fajita Chicken burrito and Beef Burrito bland and dry, while another says wrong items sometimes arrive and a friend was served beans that tasted off. A third mentions a disruptive person in or outside the cafe on each visit, with the staff staying calm. One reviewer notes a cat on the premises.

“Idk who’s giving this place less than 5 stars. As a halal full English goes it’s the best I’ve had in eons. Lots of iced drinks and hot drinks available and staff are amazing.”

“I visited Querky few days ago and wanted some light snack in that hot weather. I’ve received freshly made granola bowl (for take away) right from the chef hands 👏 Thank you Suyeb for great service, he was very polite and friendly. I will be back to try more stuff.”

“Cafe itself was pleasant, staffs were very friendly, can work in peace, not too loud. All items on menu are halal. You can order normal cafe style drinks and sandwiches. But ordering main menu meals aren’t worth it, in my opinion. We ordered Fajita Chicken burrito (4/10), Beef Burrito (5/10), Skin On Fries (7/10), Caramel Frappe (8/10). Both the burritos were edible but a bit bland and dry.”

“Sometimes they get wrong items or in my mates case the beans was off and that shouldn't of been given on a plate without checking dates on your kitchen stock... disappointing at times but its my local we sit for a quick coffee or breakfast with school mums etc.”
