  “We stopped at Maria’s Café in Borough Market in London, and it was a great choice! The market is so inviting and nicely decorated. We ordered the traditional fish and chips, and our food came out very quickly. The meal included crispy fried fish, French fries, and green peas, which seems to be a classic combo in England (not my fav)! The fish was fresh, flaky, and cooked perfectly. It had a light, crispy batter. The portion size was huge, and the price was reasonable. The overall experience was excellent. If you’re visiting Borough Market and looking for a delicious, authentic fish and chips meal, Maria’s Café is the place to stop.”

  “We were looking for a place to have breakfast on a Sunday when most places were closed or didn't serve cooked breakfasts. We had a salmon and scrambled eggs on toast and a veggie brekkie. The food was good and portions were very generous. It's a bit pricey, I wasn't very happy to have to pay for sitting in but it's London/ Borough Market so I get it.”

  “Amazing service and food. I arrived early and noticed that the stall was not open for another 30 min) - the stall holder noticed me hanging about and let me know it was going to be open a little later due to staffing shortage - this was not a problem for me - but she offered to do a full English breakfast for me (after asking what I was going to be having) and come back in 20 minutes. I cam back and was sat at a table while everything else was being set up around me as staff arrived. I was happy to have waited until the delayed open time but she had insisted. The food was great and honest - fresh obviously as well. I will make sure I venture in next time I am in London!”

  “Great place for some breakfast in borough market. I had a bacon and sausage roll with a latte and my partner had the fully English breakfast with bubble and squeak. Both were fantastic and the staff were super friendly! Top notch.”

  “Maria’s Market Cafe is a lovely little spot tucked away between the hustle and bustle of Borough Market—a real hidden gem! The menu serves up comforting, no-frills British classics that hit the spot, and the atmosphere feels authentically local, with views of the Shard and London Bridge just around the corner. While the bacon was a touch overcooked and the iced coffee could’ve been fresher (and fuller!), the overall experience was still great—especially considering the reasonable prices for central London. Hopefully they’ll have Cracked Black Pepper next time! Fantastic value, warm vibes, and a spot I’ll definitely be coming back to soon!X”

  “The food was decent, but the service was disappointingly slow. Despite the restaurant not being crowded, we had to wait around 25–30 minutes for just two English breakfasts. We also requested some salt, but no one followed up or returned with it. On a positive note, I was impressed to see a vegetarian option for the English breakfast — a thoughtful addition for non-meat eaters. Overall, it wasn’t a worst experience, but the service definitely needs improvement.”
